Saturday Nite... and its a party

Let me just start off by Thanking each and everyone of you who leaves me a comment, for someone who does not have a single person to stitch with, your comments mean alot to me.
It's my daughter's 11th birthday party. It's not at all quiet with 8 girls squelling. I thought I would get a lot of stitching in tonite, wrong, I don't think they will ever settle down. Here is a pic with kellie blowing out her candles. I made this delicious ice cream pie. It was so easy, All you have to do is put 12 ice cream sandwiches on the bottom of a pan and pour warm hot fudge over it with crushed heath bars, then another layer of ice cream sandwiches and more hot fudge and some whip cream, then throw it in the freezer. Yum! Yum! Easy! Easy!
I made this the other nite. Its always nice to finish something quick, So I picked this, and filled it with popourri? is that spelled right? and will give it to my friend instead with some chocolate kisses.
I pulled this out the other nite and finally figured that I put it aside, becuz I needed some threads for it, So guess where I went to today?

Yep, to my LNS, but thats not all I picked up. I bought the charts Halloween Thrillogy (Lizzie Kate) and Happy Halloween (Drawn Thread) anybody that has been reading, knows I like Halloween, plus they were on clearance. I bought Shepherd's Bush, Baby Bug Ball. It came as a kit so I got everything in it that I need, including silk thread, yippee, I want to start this right away, just see what they work like, before I get them for the Cirque Des Cercles. Which I received in the mail yesterday, so it was everything in me not to buy the fabric and fibers for it today. The fabric is on back order :(whew!!! I think I will take the girls out for a midnite walk, maybe the cool air will settle them down and they will come in cool and cuddle up to watch a movie, Sew I can stitch. hehe. I was thinking and I might make a pillow out of the Palomino. I need to stop thinking and start stitching. I hope everyone has a properous stitching week. And I hope you all get a good nites sleep :)

WooHoo!!!! It's a finish. I finally finished Palomino yesterday, but couldnt take a pic till this morning, becuz my camera needed recharged.

This was really fun to watch it magically appear before my eyes. I wish the old barn frame I have was bigger then a 8 X 10. I will probably have this one custom framed. I started in Jan. and thought it would take me through the summer. I am going to go thru my stash this morning and pick out some smaller wips to get done before I get Cirque Des Cercles supplies. I slept pretty good last night after doing the Happy Dance all day yesterday. I will post pic of my wips later this week. Take Care and Happy Stitching!!

Another day, another stitch. The Taste of Home cooking show was fabulous. We had so much fun, even the site is fun. Here's a pic of the goody bag with lots of freebies, coupons and three different magazines they publish.

They were tossing tee shirts out to us and I missed two, but I did catch a apron, woohoo!! that will come in handy. There's my kitty, she has to be on top of everything I do. If they ever come to your town, I highly recommend it, if you like to cook & bake. It was so funny, they had door prizes that they called on and off all nite. One was a bikini waxing and eyebrow shaping, Steve won that one, I hope he has a female companion hehe. Anyway, heres a update on my June Berries (BBD).I am going to get Palomino done this weekend, dh is fishing all weekend at the missippippi River all weekend, I hope he has fun. The girls and I are going to a Pampered Chef party Sat. afternoon then to a movie, if I have any money left, lol. At 8am I am volunteering to pick up trash along our country road. Its call "Keep It Beautiful" The county supplies gloves, bags, a vest and a poker. we just leave the bag of garbage on the side of the road and the county picks it up. Oh yeah! I am so excited to start Ink Circles, Cirque des Cercles I ordered the chart yesterday on the website and ordered the fabric from Needle In A Haystack - Purveyor of fine needlework supplies I placed a fabric order in the 14th and received it today, fast huh? So I ordered more fabric today, I ordered the Lakeside Sugared Ginger to do the Cirque Des Cercles and then I will go to my LNS and find a color to do in the silks. I have never worked with silk before. I wonder how many skeins I will need for that project? hmmm. I need to go start some dinner, I suppose. Ta ta

Boy! Do I feel stupid!!!! I just read that the challenges like 25 and 50 are the wips that you finish before buying any new stash. And here I thought if I finished two, I would treat myself, like said in earlier post. Everyone was probably laughing at me.I dont see how anyone could do even 10 before buying. Before reading the blogs, I was really feeling like I had a problem buying and stashing so much until I read blogs, I now know its normal, I'm normal!!! lol. I said, I was going to finish my palomino, well that went down the drain, I just havent had the time to sit long enough to make that much progress. Its just too much confetti, and I guess I had more then I thought. Plus I had to work on my June Berries just because it was new. I am so tired, I dont know if its the warm fresh air or what. I geuss Ineed to go and spend time reading blogs to get inspired. I just love what everyone does and then I want to keep up,lol. Oh yeah! How come a couple of my commenters, I cant look at their blog like Mary Ann's and Julie's it takes me to their About Me but there's no link?? I am going to the Taste Of Home cooking show tonite, they are so fun. So, I wont be stitching tonite. Happy Stitching!! P.S. Is there a site that tells about the stitching clubs, or the challenges? I read about the round robin in blogs, Whats that?? Any help would be appreciated

Taxes are done.. Oh yeah!! Oh yeah!! woo hoo they are going to the post office this afternoon. On with the stitching. Maybe I will be able to post a finished Palomino in a few days, that's my goal. Taxes are done for another year, I can do anything, lol. If I can do that, i know its close to the deadline. I will be really stressed out on taxes next year. DH is in the process of buying out his partners in another small business, but you know what thats his business for the whole next year. The only thing I have to do is put it in his computer and if I cant, he can hire someone, lol. well, I have an very important errand to run. Let the stitching began!!

I hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend. It was cold here to do much outside :( I spent the whole day at my in-laws wishing I had brought my x-stitching. Here's a pic of my Palomino. Whew! I think I am past the point of where I had messed up.

I did start a new project Friday nite. It Blackbird Design called June Berries. I am stitching on 30 ct. Sleepy Hollow by R & R. This one will go rather quickly I am hoping. Well, I am going to make this short & sweet as I have a few things to do around the house before I go volunteer this afternoon. Only to come home to make a rush for dinner. Happy Stitching!!!

Good Afternoon Ladies, I have to tell you about the store I visited on Saturday. It was way too cool. My dh had a job in Cyrstal Lake in by Chicago. This store Welcome Stitchery had so much cramed in a store it was just bursting :). They had mega ready made frames, fabric, kits, charts and threads. I was in there 1 hr and that wasnt enough time.I wanted everything, but I did get a stash on fabric's, which i needed so bad. I dont even have the charts for a couple fabric's I bought. I loved the Stitch Every Day series which was packed with chart, fabric and buttons, woohoo. But the two I really loved, they were out of (figures) but this is a good thing, cuz in a couple of weeks I have a reason to go back. I did buy the Bee True . I wanted the April Fools and Flip Flop Summer. They have such fun fabric colors. I bought gingham material for a couple charts, two frames, I dont know misc stuff, heres a pic. it come out a little dark b/c I took it after I got home that late afternoon and the lighting was not too good. I had so much fun, I just love my LNS though (30 mins). Jill is so helpjul and nice. I will be visiting her b4 school gets out though. I wish I had a friend to enjoy all the excitement with me. I have made a little progress with Palomino, not enough to brag about, and have not even worked on L'Autumn. I do have June Berries (BBD) ready to stitch, maybe start tonite on it. I have been so busy just going through my recent buying sprees, figuring what I need and what I dont. I do like to buy somethings online shops b/c of the sale discounts, free shipping and no tax, every little bit helps to buy another chart, lol. The other day while it was raining, a rare Common? Flicker hit our big windows and knocked it out :( The other two flickers that were playing were trying to get it up and going. I finally went out there and scared them away, so they didnt attract a cat. We watched it for awhile keeping it safe, while it came to. After it got up I snapped a close up pic.It finally did fly away. It is a beautiful bird, looks kind of roughed up from the other birds and raining. We have them in our backyard by the river, they like to dig in the dirt for bugs and larve, just like the darn moles. Let me know if you read my posts, as to I can enjoy yours. Happy Stitching!!!!

I just read this e-mail and thought it was kind of neat to share. Hope you all enjoy.
TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING THROUGH THE DESERT.DURING SOME POINT OF THE JOURNEY, THEY HAD AN ARGUMENT; AND ONE FRIEND SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE IN THE FACE.

THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED WAS HURT, BUT WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING,WROTE IN THE SAND:TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.

THEY KEPT ON WALKING,UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,WHERE THEY DECIDED TO TAKE A BATH THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE MIRE AND STARTED DROWNING, BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM. AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM THE NEAR DROWNING,HE WROTE ON A STONE:TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.

THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND ASKED HIM, "AFTER I HURT YOU,YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW,YOU WRITE ON A STONE, WHY?"

THE OTHER FRIEND REPLIED"WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN IN SAND WHERE WINDS OF FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.BUT, WHEN SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING GOOD FOR US,WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE WHERE NO WIND CAN EVER ERASE IT."

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.THEY SAY IT TAKES A MINUTE TO FIND A SPECIAL PERSON, AN HOUR TO APPRECIATE THEM, A DAY TO LOVE THEM, BUT THEN AN ENTIRE LIFE TO FORGET THEM.
