Ohhh!!! Should I?

I forgot to add this to my post yesterday

I found this UFO the other day

I started this along time ago. Love the crown above the owl.

"Quaint Owl Sampler"

Designer: Patricia Andrle

Magazine: Dec. 1994 Cross Stitch & Country Crafts

If I do finish it, I will most likely coffee dye it.

It's 28ct but I have no idea what the fabric is. It calls for 28ct shell, but that's not what it is.

I rarely find two designs I like in older magazines. But look at this one...

"Cardinal Sampler" Same designer Patricia Andrle

That's all I have to share today

Happy Stitching

This is a freebie from http://www.thestitcherhood.com/

This is how I finished the back...

I'm giving it to Kellie for the special day and hope she cherishes it forever and ever.

My hubby twisted my arm and made me go to http://inspiredneedle.com/ on Saturday. He wanted to spend his gift cards from Christmas and this was the last weekend for the boat show at Bass Pro Shop in Bolingbrook. This is what I bought..

"Me & You Sampler by MidSummer Night Designs with 32ct sand "Hootzi Humbug by Just Nan w/owl charm and 28ct desert sand
"Sweetheart Sampler" by Blackbird Designs
Kajsa brought it to my attention for the BBD Wednesday SAL, but I didn't have it, so now I do, for next year.

Speaking of BBD SAL. Kajsa and Suzanne are wanting me to stitch this

with them on Mondays. Can I do it with all my WIP's??!! I'm gonna try.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I enjoy all the comments and emails.

Everyone that took the charts Thank You! I have heard from a few of you that you received them. If you haven't gotten yours yet... they are or will be on their way soon. That was a job sorting and mailing them all out, but I am so glad to share them and they are all gone.

Ta Ta for now....

Winston draws a name

Winston draws Margaret. "The Eye of the Sparrow" will soon be flying off to her. And then hopefully she will fly it to a different stitcher. I don't think I have your addy, so if you can email it that will help.

This is not the intended frame. I broke the one I had and then sat on the glass (it was on the couch, hehe) oh well it was not meant to be in that frame, so this will have to do for now.

Block #9 of The Villages is done

I really want to get this done, so I can start the autumn/fall one that's due out soon

Remember this??

I talked about doing it last year and this is where I am with it

"Happy Camper" by Raise The Roof Designs. I will leave it out and give it some attention. I am not sure where the buttons are, so I will be doing some stash diving for them.

It's been so gloomy here, the lighting is not so good today for photography

I started this last night for our BBD Wednesday night SAL.

"Beneath the Sunlit Sky" Loose feathers #26

Kajsa and I so far stitched "Summer House" "Sunflower House" and "Evergreen".

I think we agreed on this one anyway

I am so sorry I forgot to update on the last post about my mom. So many have asked.

Mom come home on Friday night, she was in there for 5 days and the docs decided it was her lungs and not her heart. She came home with an inhaler and they delivered an oxygen tank on Monday and hasn't used it yet. So yes! she is feeling better, Thanks!!

Don't forget to floss!!!

Eye of the Sparrow

Happy Sunday!!!
I loved stitching this design, it didn't last long enough.

"Eye of the Sparrow" by Silver Creek Samplers

stitched on 28ct. Cashel Relic w/DMC

I am giving the chart pack to a lucky reader. All I ask that after you stitch it pass it on to another stitcher. Also please specify in the comment you are interested in it. I will post the winner next time I show a picture of this in a frame. I have the frame.

I will leave you with a visitor that kept the cat very busy

First finish of the year

Happy snowy Thursday from northern Illinois
1st happy dance of 2010

"Evergreen" Blackbird Designs Loose Feathers #17

unknown fabric, I changed out a couple colors like pecan for palomino and evergreen for havanna.

No disrespect to Barb the designer, but the pink bird just didn't do it for me, so I ripped it out and used Soot.

Here is my Goode Huswife "Currants, Coxcomb and Rose scissor FOB. I am not real happy about the finishing, I think I could do better.

My mom is in the hospital now for a few days and will be there at least till tomorrow. She's had trouble breathing. So after umpteen test they now think it may be her lungs and not her heart.

I have a break for awhile today, it is snowing like crazy here. I am trying to catch up on laundry and cooking. I won't torture you with pics of my dirty laundry, hehe, here is what I am cooking up today

Big batch of chili Corned beef and cabbage about to be thrown in the crockpot.

o.k. so I am posting and taking pics of various things, trying to avoid putting other things off, lol

I have been stitching on My Betrothed Sampler. Thank Goodness!!!! It's a forgiving design because I am off one count and we all know sometimes that is not a good thing.

I better move on and make some good time here at home before my dad calls me to come pick him up at the hospital. He's 86 yrs old and we didn't want him driving in all the snow.

I'm surprised Kellie's school is open, lots are closed in the area.

I will leave you with a few pics I snapped from the window yesterday just before the big snow

They were sure munching on my plants, that's o.k. with me, they need food too.

Thanks for visiting my little part of the world

Until next...
