Places visited

Good afternoon!!!
Here are a couple of place I visited on my way home from West Virginia

Cross My Heart
Columbus, Ohio
Emily was super nice, I could have stayed longer, but I had a long drive home

Persnickety Stitchers
Zionsville, Indiana

And here is my stash

Notice the photo bomber, lol, she eventually laid down across them all.

Here are a couple of old covered bridges we ran across while cruising around the hills in Ohio

The top one was closed, but we did take a stroll through it. You could just imagine the horse and buggy rickety and rackety across the old thick boards

And the bottom we got to drive through

Next is barges being pushed up the Ohio river. It reminds me a lot of the Mississippi River, the fishing isn't as good though. It was tough a tough river to fish. Dan fished for the Wisconsin state, they came in third, he's on his way home :)

I met this couple while we were bringing in the boat off the river
I wasn't suppose to feed them, but they kept following me around, so I did find a few extra slices of bread from lunch that was in the bottom of the boat.

That's it for now... until next time...
Keep the needles flying

Rescued samplers

Happy Sunday!

I totally forgot to show the two samplers I found when Anna and I went to an antique mall
Sorry for the reflection off the glass on the first two

This one has a water stain in the bottom left corner and not marked who stitched it
:(
I still love it

I spent a little time googling this couple. I couldn't find either name associated with the other

I found this one yesterday while trying to find a needle shop in Zionsville, In.
It was only six dollars, the ladies said it was there only a couple days.
I was lucky enough to grab it, as there was someone else looking at it too.

Next post will be two needle shops visited

Happy stitching!!!

Finishes and some goodies

Happy Friday night!!!

It's been almost two months since I posted

I hate this change with bloglovin and all
So I have been avoiding it.

I've been in West Virginia all this week, I drive home tomorrow, a 10 hour drive, ugh!!
I drove behind Dan with the boat, he has a fishing tournament on the Ohio River this next week, so I've been in the boat most of the week.
Now for the good stuff....

Finished is Witchy by The Primitive Needle, 36ct ???

Fancey Blackett~The Harvest Dance by Pineberry Lanes
40ct sheep straw linen w/DMC

Look at this beauty...
Anna made for me
I love it so much
It's a pattern From Hardanger With T.C.L book
She changed the colors to my likings, I love purple
Thank you, my friend

Some earrings to fit my passion of sewing

Anna and I went to a new needle shop near me in Roscoe, Just One More Stitch
And then we went junkin' to a local antique store, then lunch
There is also another needle shop I found out about, in the opposite direction, in Rochelle called Lottie's Keep.

I bought this old wash board made into a magazine rack, I plan on painting it and putting some charts in it, maybe Christmas on one side and Halloween on the other
And putting some stitching where you see the picture, big plans, lol
And there are some super cheap oil cans, I couldn't resist the price, very primitive.
That's is for now
Happy Stitching!!!!

I'm a winner and Old Glory WIP

Happy Wednesday!!

Woohoo!!
I was so excited to win a birthday giveway that was hosted by Robin @ http://primitivehutch.blogspot.com/.

I consider myself very, very lucky to win. I never get anything like this for my birthday, so I'm making this one of my present that I can brag about
Thank you! Robin

Pretty packaging,

Here are all the goodies, I love those dollies

They will make great friends with my black americana dollies
I love the prim pinkeep too, I love everything
The note pad will go in my Vera bag, so I can keep an extra diary of things I need and want.

Here's how my Old Glory WIP is looking today, I didn't think it would be done for this July. I started in October at a retreat, so I have made good progress since then, maybe it will be finished for next year. Ha.... now there's a challenge for me

I have received my confirmation for The Inspired Needle retreat in Shipshewana and have mailed in my registration for the celebrations of needlework show in St. Charles, yay!! go me!!

I post from blogpress, if anyone could tell me how to add a hyperlink for a website, I would really, really appreciate it.

I wish everyone a fun and safe Fourth of July weekend

Block 10 and a pillow

Good Evening!!

I finally finished block 10 of Houses of HRH
I love that cow

Lois, a stitcher I met thru Anna was giving away stuff. I picked this ruffle pillow from Adams Originals.

It's kinda sparse, so I will add more...someday. I need to get a form to fit it too.
The design is a Homespun Elegance.

I have a birthday coming up on the 5th, my 50th, woohoo, I'm making my list, lol

I hope everyone finds some time to stitch this weekend

Spring Flower pinkeep

Happy Monday..

I finished the Stacy Nash pinkeep

Stitched on 32ct Belfast linen w/GA threads. It was a kitted box with the fibers,I changed the backing fabric to a blue, that's in the background.

My friend Diane and I ran/walked a colorvibe 5k in about 45 mins. There were 7000 runners getting blasted with paint stations along the way, super fun time

That's it for now..
Happy Stitching
