Frappuccino flatfold

Happy Saturday!!

I started and finished Frappuccino last year around this time, when we went to Florida.
I just finish finished it into a flatfold.

I went shopping this morning and picked up fabby and beads, so I have alot to do tonite.
I bought fabby to make a pillow from Where My Heart Blooms by BBD.

beaded FOBS and winner!!!!!!!!!

Happy Thursday!!

This is where I am at with "A Quaker Christmas", still not so thrilled with it.

Since I can't win a beaded FOB on any drawing and there is yarn on mine. I decided to get out my beads this week and see what I had to work with. I come up with these. Yay!!!!

I didn't even catch it, but kellie did. I missed a black bead, so I have to find and buy one or change them, Drats!!!
I can't wait to go shopping for beads and charms to match my other scissors.

As for the drawing...
I put all the names in a bowl, recycled paper of course

This is the lucky name I drew out...

Annie

Yay!!! for Annie. Congratulations!!!!

You can email your address and I will get it out to you.

Watch for my Blogoversary, it's getting close.

Caution Ahead!!!

O.K. I have lost a couple of readers and maybe more, because of my Voodoo Doll, I stitched. I don't take pleasure in evil. My voodoo doll is not for that reason. It is to keep evil away.
Sorry!!!! This is my blog and I will post what I want, whether it is voodoo or stash.
I feel my blog has been targeted, with the negative emails lately, I just don't feel like posting or commenting. (getting alot of stitching in though)lol
There was one stitcher that did give her identity and Thank You for that. The others why don't you comment on this blog and let people know who you really are. Other stitchers think the world of you. And your blog is just so darn perfect, right? have you ever got a negative feedback about your blog, well it's not very fun.
Sorry! I just had to vent as it was eating me up.
Here is a companion to Voodoo boy. My own version. I did keep the heart the same

And here they are together

I forgot to show you the back of the first one.
So here is both from the back

Thank you so much for the ones that are still with me.

And for the ones that are, but dont want to be

EVIL BE GONE!!!!

Peace Angel and Brrrrrrr!!!!!!!

Look what fly in from Venezuela

The angel ornament is sooo adorable. She was one of many angel's that Sandra sent out for the Peace Angel project and I was a lucky recipent. Thanks so much Sandra, I adore her.
Update for A Quaker Christmas

Some stash, this is the last of it. Six of the Mother's Wisdoms by Heart in Hand. I love these little things.

Misc. threads for misc. charts

A couple Mirabilia, Creepy Crawly and Spells For Sale w/ buttons.

My Holly Jolly is framed. It's already to hang this Christmas.

If I will be able to find it, when the time comes, lol.

The edges are tinged with red, so the photo does it no justice.

It's been so cold here, not even reaching above -10 for days now, thats bone chilling cold and that's not even with the wind chill factor Brrrrrr!!!! Hopefully tonight the warmer temps will move in with more snow. That's o.k. with me. I can't even imagine it being humid in the 80's or 90's anywhere right now, lol.

I have been just throwing seed out the doors for the little birdies. Too cold and too much snow to make a trek to the feeders.

I am going to try real hard to put a few stitches in Monopoly and then ATS tonite.

Take Care and Thanks for visiting.

I have been getting many new commenters,

wonderful new-to-me blogs.

Happy Weekend and Happy Stitching!!!

UFO and wedding photo's

I finally went through some of my UFO's and pulled this out, maybe I will try to stitch some on it, maybe not. I have seen a few of these floating around blogland. I bet it hasn't seen the light of day in 15 years. I ironed Monopoly and put it out on the rug and went to go fetch my camera and came back to this

I really think she loves my stitching stuff as much as I do.
I figured there was a reason why I quit stitching on it and spent a great deal of time counting and recounting, but everything looks kosher.

I worked on LL&L this weekend

Here is my ORT jar

I also worked on A Quaker Christmas, but forgot to take a pic. Right now it's not really that thrilling to stitch. Blah!!!!
I am trying to like it better.

I was at DD Heather's today when she received her wedding cd from Hawaii. I just happened to have my camera and took some photo's from her monitor, not the greatest.

Here is our friendly little acorn stasher

The scary warning alarm just went off on my weather radio..

They just issued a blizzard warning in effect for my area with up to 5" additional snowfall.
Thank You so much for your visits and comments. I love to hear from ya.
Happy Stitching!!!

Voodoo Friday

Happy Friday!!

Voodoo Boy by Haberdashery Designs.

It was too dark last night when I finished it up to take a photo.
Today is hardly any better with 4-8'' of snow excepted thru this evening.
Putting it together was o.k. except for around the tight crotch area.
I took two pictures with a light and dark contrast. Sometimes it looks different on other monitors. I am off to start another one. It will be different.
Happy Stitching!!

A Quaker Christmas start

Stitching on 28ct country French Cashmere with CC Balsam Fir.
Stay tuned for Voodoo Friday.
Happy Stitching!!

Monday, January 5, 2009

I finished this last night.

"Holly Jolly Christmas" by Sisters and Best Friends

28 ct unknown fabric with Sampler threads. I hate when the LNS don't tag the fabby.

I started a BBD on New Year's Day

"Greetings" Blackbird Designs

Peppermint & Holly book

40ct Abercedarin with WDW & GA threads

I just went out for the mail and Wow! I received my fabby for QC, that was speedy fast from 123. I have to go to the grocery store now , so I can get back and start it, {{squell}} can't wait.

Happy Stitching!!

1st start and finish of 2009

Hello!
I was cleaning my stitching corner yesterday and deciding what to start, since my fabby was cut too short for A Quaker Christmas and I couldn't find the thread to start the border on Letters, Leprechauns and Luck. So seeing I was stitching 2/2 on 28ct. I decided to use dmc for the double border. Here is my first start of 2009

I am stitching it on 28ct water lily joblean.

BTW, I did order my fabby for QC from 123 yesterday, so hopefully it will get here soon

Here is my Lizzie Kate I finished this morning

found in Cross Stitch & Needlework magazine Dec. 1998.

Now I really shouldn't show you this, I am such a dope. There is a lesson learned here though

never get in a hurry and always make sure that your stitched piece is not under your backing when cutting it, lol. Well, now this made me not take my stitching for granted. I am going to pull out a UFO to finish stitch this year. They are just a loss as much as this one I cut up. Silly me!!!

Thank you all for your support in comments and e-mails.

For those you don't like to view stash close your eyes and scroll, lol

28ct. Baroque?, 40ct. Days Gone By, 36ct Swamp, 36ct Autumn Leaves. I also bought some 40ct Abecedarian Blend which I started BBD "Greetings" this morning and forgot to take a pic.

Glendon Place "Monster Mash" which I was gong to use the Baroque fab with black dmc, but I think I changed my mind. JABC "Happy Camper" buttons and Olde Colonial Designs kit xtra tiny sampler 1.

My Stitcher's Closet order didnt arrive yet. which is mostly threads.

I better run and pick up my corner, which is more of a mess then I started with yesterday. It distracts my stitching when its not tidy and organized.

Happy stitching and stashing in 2009

Happy 2009

Happy New Year and all the best of 2009 to everyone.

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas day spent with loved ones.
I didn't post or even comment during those couple of weeks, come to think of it I didn't even stitch, Now I am just trying to get in the knack of it all again.
Well, we survived the week with Brianna, but was so glad to see her mom and dad. I know now why they call us Grandma's, lol
Kellie and I have been baking up a storm and with the holidays over, we are still baking. Heather never really had any interest in the kitchen and is still like that, lol.

We also had a bout of the flu along with the festivities of Christmas.

I don't have Heather's camera to upload any pics of their vacation and they don't have their wedding cd back. So that will be on a later post.

I started "And They Sinned" exactly one year ago on 01/o1/2008

I am so close to being done. I don't know why the photo's turned our crappy, but if I fixed them it would cut time in my stitching, lol. You get the idea though.
I wished I had time in the last few days of the year to stitch the few I am so close to finishing. I kind of got out of the habit of stitching and blogging, the computer all together.

I stitched alot this past year with all of your support and inspiration. May it continue.

I woke up early this morning with anticipation to start a new stitch, but the two I had kitted up since march. On one I can't find my 2 skeins of spring green to start the border and the other I just doubled checked the fabby and I think it is cut to short. I have lots to stitch though.

I didn't get any stitchy stuff for Christmas :(

I never do, but every year I hope to open something stitchy, they don't have a clue around here and never will, lol. I did buy a few things the other day from the The Stitchers Closet sale.

I would post pics, but I received a letter awhile back saying it was rude to post pics of my stash. I don't know about you all, but I love to see all the piles of stash or maybe just that one chart you get.

Have a happy, healthy, safe and stitchy 2009
