Happy Thanksgiving from Arkansas

Yes!!!
We are in Arkansas. We left at 4:30am this morning after I got home from work. We finally arrived at the cabin in Caddo Valley just south of Little Rock after dark. I thought I would bring DH here to tour DeGray Lake for the tournment in May. Am I sweet or what??!! lol
DH isn't so sweet, he made me go hundreds of miles before letting me stop to go pee. And that was to get gas, I narrowly escaped the 4-runner to run inside and relieve myself, enough already! lol
I made a couple little ornaments out of the Prairie Schoolers from The Lodge that I stitched earlier this year

The pics were taken from my back yard in Illinois

I started this BOAF the night before we left. I am going to try to finish it in the boat tomorrow.

I just can't stitch or read while moving in a vehicle

Not sure which design will go in the middle. I am leaning toward the singing couple or the reindeer

I am really, really tired, but wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving Day. Please have safe travels to those of you that make a trek to be with family.

I am thankful right now to be out of the truck after 13+ hours.

I will try to take pics of our little cozy cabin and snaps of the lake and post them in a few days.

Thank goodness for wireless, I just wish the battery lasted longer.

I am thankful for all the cyber stitchy friends. For all your comments, e-mails and support.

Take care one and all

Until next time...

Penny Angel ornament and more...

Happy Friday!!

"Penny Angel" by The Primitive Needle found in the JCS 2009 Christmas isssue
This little paper mache box was inspired by Blackbird Designs.
I photocopied the stitched piece, glued it to the top, put fabric around the edge of the box top.
I painted the bottom part. I might add some fabric to that as well too.

I finished block #7 of the villages

Here's my update on the Wednesday SAL

A sneaky peek ornament

Happy Tuesday!
I started this last night.

You know you want to thumb through the 2009 ornament issue to see what it will look like, lol
Maybe it will it prompt your little eye to spy something to get you stitching a ornament.
Thanks for stopping by my little teeny tiny corner of the big wide world.

Let the holiday stitching begin...

"Evergreen" by Blackbird Designs
is the pattern Kajsa and I decided for our BBD Wednesday SAL. The border is Pecan and the lettering calls for havanna which is really brown and not green at all, so I am using Evergreen

Here's my little GrandLady Bug on Halloween
