Which one??

I wish everyone a very Happy and prosperous New Year 2015!!

I went shopping.... And decided to buy The Red Deer Sampler by Gigi R
I've been eyeing it for awhile now.

The linen is 36ct Confederate Grey

The fibers below are for the Samplers 4 Saisons

Each color is for a season and the brown for the tree. The linen is 40ct Flax

So now I have to decide which one to start tomorrow,

You say...

Both of them

I say "O.K."

I'm not sure how much I will get to stitch on them, we are going out of town with the kids to a Wisconsin Dells indoor waterpark hotel.

Be safe

Let's talk New Years Day

Sooooo I'd love to hear what everyone has kitted up or wants to kit up to stitch for the New Year

Photos are taken from the internet

This is what I'm thinking of starting....

Anagram Diffusion "Sampler 4 Saisons"

I love the red but....
I plan on stitching the different seasons in different soft colors

I downloaded the pattern from www. Broderie.net. I believe it cost 6.50 in US dollars

11 page pattern, the stitch count is 320X320. I have to shop for the 40ct linen and the 4 thread colors. I need to go to a shop to do a floss toss, before the 1st

When I first saw this pattern of course I googled and also fell in love with two designs also from Anagram Diffusion

"Elements"

"Ying Yang"

Has anyone ever stitched these designs or any others?

What is going to be your New Year Start?

Please don't hold me to this design, lol, I have a right to change my mine

I'm thinking, I better go get busy stitching what I have in my bag, lol

I love everything about these and won't stop until I stitched them all.
There are 7 designs in the chart and two more in the 2014 JCS ornament and JCS preview issues.

Count Me Inspired

Hello,

This post is all about the Count Me Inspired Retreat held this past weekend in Shipshewana, Indiana

Cathy set up shop

Big room with lots of lighting,

Hi Barb, this was my table with some very lovely ladies, it's always so nice to see them all again

My purchase... The Threads, apple cider and shaker white are for the ornaments from Summer House, Nordic Yuletide. I love the frame for Last Stitch Cemetery.
I plan not to stitch the border or the bottom portion of The Ghoultide Welcome, I love that scene.

The next purchase shown is from House of Stitches in La Porte, Indiana on the way to the retreat, always a must stop

The linen is tarnished silver, its for Halloween Resurrection by Lone Elm Lane and will fit in a 8" round shaker box. And a few threads that I needed and kitted already.

That reminds me.... We stop at a couple antique/ junk store down the road every year. I found these.... an 8" box for 1/2 off at 6.00.

I know the square box isn't too charming, right now, but it will be. For 4.00 I can recycle that in no time

Oh! And these scissors were 2.00

I stitched a little here and a little there on these three things

Christmas Angels by Birds of a Feather, Casting a Spell by Homespun Elegance and finished Things That Go Bump in the Night by Angel Stitchin, found in the 2014 JCS Halloween issue. I stitched it with the DMC glow in the dark thread, spoooooky!!! I'll most likely make it into a flat fold easel.

Ugh! Since I had a really long pictureful post and lost some, I will have a part two with what we received and my exchange piece and whatever I forgot in this post.

Be back soon....

Celebrations

This last weekend, Anna, Lois and I made a trek to St. Charles, Mo. for the Celebrations of Needlework. This was our third year attending

My purchases... I bought most of it at The Inspired Needle and The Silver Needle and then some

I take the Round Robin classes every year, but this year only 1 session. Here are the four kits I received.

I started Quaker Gone Spooky, when I got home, so I need to take a snap tonight, to show my start progress, I can't put it down. I'm stitching it on 36ct flagstone linen with recommended silks

It's such a joy to talk and meet, old and new stitchers and the shop owners

In a couple weeks I go to The Inspired Retreat in Shipshewana, In. I can't wait

Happy haunting stitching!!

It's all spooky

Happy Fall ya all,

I have two fast finishes I finished today/tonight. I believe both kits were from the round robin class at St. Charles, Missouri, Celebrations of Needlework last year or possibly the year before.

The first up is a Rosewood Manor design kit " Crows Feet Quilt Block"

I love it, when everything is kitted up

Next is...
Just Another Button Company, pumpkin pincushion kit, again everything to finish it

Is anyone going this year to Celebrations in St. Charles?
I will be there again this year

Barb commented on my last post about my Halloween stuff, well here you go,

That's just some of it, lol

Good night!!
