The Sampler Girl freebie

Hi!
While it was and still is raining cats and dogs. I was nice and cozy in my stitching corner, stitching this and even finishing it in only a few short hours.
I couldn't get a good pic, so I tried two different things and couldn't decide which one was better, so here are two pic's of it.

"Primitive Irish Cupboard Sampler" freebie by The Sampler Girl found Here

Stitched on a scrap of 32 ct with GA and DMC. I just happened to have the lucky ladybug fabby.

Yes! That is a Hoosier cabinet, which my hubby can't stand, hehe! I know someone will spy it and ask me about it. I don't know if I ever posted it before.

Ready for some more Irish, here is row 7

Happy Stitching!

I have added a sneak peek to my sidebar for added interest.

If there are more then 10 people signed up for it. I will make a beaded scissors FOB for the runner up. You get to pick the colors and the charm of your choice.

All you have to do is leave a comment.

I will pick the winner(s) soon.

Hey all you stitchers
This is now open The Stitchers' Village
Check it out

Sunday, February 15, 2009

Hello! I have been out of state for a few days. I just got back home late last night. My favorite Aunt passed away. My mom and dad are in thier 80's. They had decided they wouldn't go. There's no way they could have made the trek themselves. I insisted I take them to the visitation and funeral. I only say favorite because that's the farm we always stayed at when I was younger, alot younger, lol.
So the half a day I had to get ready, I was cleaning and making sure everyone here had clean socks and underwear, lol.
Kellie had to do most of the cookie making, while I popped in and out of the kitchen that day. Here are the results
We also have heart shaped cakes to make, but that will take place later tonite.

I had also finished Spooky before I got the news and luckly finished this finish off

I used that fabby in the background for the backing.

Well, that's it for now.

Happy Stitching!!

A finish, A Start and some progress

"Persuasion" by The Sampler Girl from the Januaury 2009 Just Cross Stitch. I am not sure how I will finish it.

S for Spooky

I just started the Lizzie*Kate Halloween flip-its.

I am stitching on 32ct Kermit by PTP. I thought the so-called fabby was too drab.

And here is row 5 on LL&L

I am also secret stitching, more on that later

Fact: I live in Illinois, the only state, where our governer's make license plates, lol.

For those out of the States, our license plates are made by prison inmates.

Thank You! Thank You!! on all the comments and e-mails about my pillows. That is what really motivates me, Thank You!!!!

Happy Dance!!! Happy Dance!!!

Hi!
I am so excited and can't stop looking at this

I can't believe I made this pillow and it was fairly easy.
I am sew addicted now.

I even made a second one this morning, just to make sure the first wasn't a fluke, lol.

I used poly-fil. They come out a little lumpy (I can live with that).
Is there a secret??? Do tell, please!!!
My slip stitching is not perfect either. (another thing I can live with)

This is where I set up station on Friday nite. Our basement in the dining/bar area.

My sewing machine has been tucked away since Kellie was born. It sure isn't anything fancy, but it does the job. There won't be no more dinners on that table for awhile, lol
Actually we only use that for company. I just won't invite anyone over for dinner, lol
I really need to read and comment on blogs, so I will be doing that on Tuesday.
Today is Superbowl Sunday.
Tomorrow I have Brianna.
So Tuesday it is.
I started to stitch on a blogoversary give away gift last nite, what could it possibly be, lol.
And it's not gonna be a Voodoo doll.
Happy Stitching!!!
