1st start and finish of 2009

Hello!
I was cleaning my stitching corner yesterday and deciding what to start, since my fabby was cut too short for A Quaker Christmas and I couldn't find the thread to start the border on Letters, Leprechauns and Luck. So seeing I was stitching 2/2 on 28ct. I decided to use dmc for the double border. Here is my first start of 2009

I am stitching it on 28ct water lily joblean.

BTW, I did order my fabby for QC from 123 yesterday, so hopefully it will get here soon

Here is my Lizzie Kate I finished this morning

found in Cross Stitch & Needlework magazine Dec. 1998.

Now I really shouldn't show you this, I am such a dope. There is a lesson learned here though

never get in a hurry and always make sure that your stitched piece is not under your backing when cutting it, lol. Well, now this made me not take my stitching for granted. I am going to pull out a UFO to finish stitch this year. They are just a loss as much as this one I cut up. Silly me!!!

Thank you all for your support in comments and e-mails.

For those you don't like to view stash close your eyes and scroll, lol

28ct. Baroque?, 40ct. Days Gone By, 36ct Swamp, 36ct Autumn Leaves. I also bought some 40ct Abecedarian Blend which I started BBD "Greetings" this morning and forgot to take a pic.

Glendon Place "Monster Mash" which I was gong to use the Baroque fab with black dmc, but I think I changed my mind. JABC "Happy Camper" buttons and Olde Colonial Designs kit xtra tiny sampler 1.

My Stitcher's Closet order didnt arrive yet. which is mostly threads.

I better run and pick up my corner, which is more of a mess then I started with yesterday. It distracts my stitching when its not tidy and organized.

Happy stitching and stashing in 2009

(jaw on the floor..get the visual here..) O---M---G. I would have croaked. Then once I was picked up off the floor, I would have done a Fred Flinstone and (&%$#%^()&^% most of the day...then I would have cried....the list goes on and on...omg my jaw is still hanging. I feel so bad for you! Ok, I have MM in my 'to do' pile for both versions. Love it! I also have the Happy Camper buttons but can't pick out a fabby yet on that one....great choices!...mouth still hanging open....

Great new start, you are just flying along on this. At this rate you'll be done long before Kim and I. Fun LK finish as well. So sorry to see your cutting mishap, I'd have cried to turn it over and see what had happened. Fun new stash, and Monster Mash is so cute, I've looked at getting that one as well.

A lovely new start and a beautiful finish. What a good way to start 2009.

Sorry about you cutting your finished piece. I've been close to that a few times.

Love your new stash. Reading your previous post I can't believe someone would tell you it's rude to post pics of your new stash! I'm afraid I would be thinking it's my blog and I'll post what I like! They don't have to read if it offends! Some people!

Have a wonderful 2009!

Great LK too! I don't remember that pattern. I'll have to see if I have that magazine. What color fabby is that? I love it!

Are you going to stitch Happy Camper too???? Maybe you want to do a SAL with me :o) Your stash is fabulous!

OMG! I would just die! Die! ACK! Thankfully it wasn't a bigger design. Whew!
