I just called Just Cross Stitch magazine and they don't seem to care that The National Magazine Services, Inc. are charging more then 20.00 for their subscription. I got a NOTICE OF RENEWAL for 65.95 for 2 years, Bogus!!! It should only be 42.00. Return by Sept. 30, 2009
my subscription goes to May/April 2010
I called, but they are in heavy call volume all the time
PLEASE DON'T PAY THROUGH THIS COMPANY

Thanks Ranae! That's unbelievable. That company should be reported to the BBB.
Scary Ranae!! That's an unbelieveable price. Hopefully no one got scammed by this. If most people are like me they wait to renew their subscriptions. Hopefully, they won't pay the ridiculous price.
I also got one of those. I just tore in half and threw it in the trash. God I hate scam artists.
That is crazy that the price would be so high.
I read about this on someone else's blog...just can't remember whose now.
I've seen this else where too. And I know that's it has been reported to JCS. Too bad the person answering the phone hadn't been told about it.
And JCS can't control another company using their name to scam people. It's kind of like identity theft.

I got that same mailing. UGH!! I knew I had just renewed, so I threw it away immediately. Good for you for reporting it. I never would have thought of that!

What the heck??? Never heard of that before...I always get a renewal letter from JCS themselves about renewal..I usually do it right away too because I know how slllooooowwwww they are. Thanks for the heads up! By the way, I received the pattern, can't remember if I told you or not but THANK YOU!!!! :) :)
That's awful! Everyone out there just trying to make a buck at someone else's expense :o(
