Fall festives and parade

Happy Fall Y' All!!
Our small farm community has a weekend full of fall festives. There are tractor and quilt shows, flea market and craft shows, parade, food, dancing, carnival rides, pet show and food contest
It was raining and very gloomy all the weekend in and out come the clouds.
That didn't stop farmers from having a honkin' good time.
Here are some goodies I purchased from different vendors

I just snapped this one while the sun came out for like 10 minutes.

Here are just a few quilts from the show,

You gotta see this.... I got up from my stitchy chair Sunday evening and this is what I come back toThe little rugrat from down the road. I guess he thought I needed help with my Villages, lol I only wish!!!

I had a sinking feeling when I saw he had a pair of my scissors, Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

It's all good!

The red and green top is part of a costume, he ran down to our house with it on.

My awesome hubby won 4th place out of 164 boats in a bass fishing tornament last week. He will now do the All American tournament with a grand prize of 140,000. It will take place in Hot Springs, Arkansas on May 26th, 2010. If he makes the top ten out of 54 boats he will be on T.V. and do the Cup for a million dollars. All my fingers and toesare crossed and whatever else will cross, lol. His dream is getting closer with every tournament.

I don't have anything stitched to show. I did finish a personal exchange and that will go out in the next couple of days. I have been stitching on a little of everything, so not much progress on one given piece. Hopefully, I will finish a design from the Halloween issue tonite.

I went to my not so favorite LNS, they didn't have one thing from the market :( The owner only sold and didn't buy. I told them I was dissappointed. I was ready to be mad at my money, lol. I only went there because there was a show in the mini mall. Lots of jewerly and not so cheap either.

That's o.k. Cathey from the Inspired Needle is holding things for me. Thanks! Cathey, I can't wait to take a road trip there soon and feast my eyes on everything.

Whew!! I will leave you with photo's from the parade

The two boys in the front seat, lost their mother, everyone's friend, a few years ago from cancer, so sad. I had a give-away last year about this time to honor her.

Lots of tractors.....

Where else in America does a high school have a "Drive Your Tractor To School Day" I remember when the two older ones had a blast with that.

I better scoot if eveyone around here wants some din-din.

Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments about my kitchen. I am loving it!!

I am behind in blogging, I have been reading and commenting here and there, just to keep up with all the fabulous seasonal stitching that's going on.

Yay! I have over 100 followers. I am just waiting for the charts to arrive for the give-away I promised, so stay tuned

Happy Stitching!!!!!

Wow, that looks like a fabulous fall fair. My grandsons would have been crazy over those tractors.
Nice purchases at the fair.
I would have had my heart in mouth to see the rugrat in my stitching chair with a pair of scissors in hand!

That first quilt is called Vintage Valentine, my quilt shop owner is stitching it as her daughter's wedding quilt. I think she's starting 8th grade this year. rofl The owner thinks this way she'll be finished in time.

Your little Freddy is cute. :D

I loved the pics of the fall stuff... your town looks like Mayberry! How neat. The pic of the neighbor kid was sweet at first but when you mentioned scissors, my heart skipped a beat.
