The WIP that almost made...

a Halloween Happy Dance, but now is finished

"Halloween Poster" by Stoney Creek, book 374
not sure the fabric used with DMC and GA thread
I had lots of fun stitching this one. It is one of my favorite pieces.

Here's where I am on The Primitive Needle

" Hallow Sampler"
I have till Thanksgiving, Right?
Let the holiday stitching begin...

"Evergreen" by Blackbird Designs
is the pattern Kajsa and I decided for our BBD Wednesday SAL. The border is Pecan and the lettering calls for havanna which is really brown and not green at all, so I am using Evergreen

Here's my little GrandLady Bug on Halloween

h

I think she is telling me " No more candy, Grandma" lol

Love the witchy and the Primitive Needle piece. I think it's fine to extend Halloween stitching into November. It still feels pretty 'fall-like'.

Your ladybug is just the sweetest. She was probably saying not to take any more of her candy anyway.

How did I miss commenting on this!? I am COMPLETELY in love with that Prim Needle piece! Have you shown this on your blog before? *can't recall* Because someone made me fall head over heels for this within the last month or so--it is TDF!! What's the linen?

ALSO, your finish and Granddaughter are great ;)

Finally, as a Scorpio (and someone with a calendar) I decree that Halloween/Autumn can indeed continue through Thanksgiving. Technically, it runs up until just a few days before the Big Day (Dec. 25)--right until the winter solstice in point of fact. :P I've been on my soapbox about this for a while, and might have to blog it out. While I have no problem with Christmas talk and images on blogs; I'm not ready for "Christmas Songs" (never carols) and fake snow in the stores yet.

Finally Part II: Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting on my blog!
