What a cool sampler. I can't believe how you always find the greatest patterns. You must have a 6th sense for it.

Great new start! I have that on my list. Did you see their other giant new one?

Liiiiiinnnnnessssss. I can see why it's boring.

Your "Eye on the Sparrow" is really cute. I like that fabric. I know what you mean about the boring bits of "My Betrothed". I have finished the bottom part at least and trying to get back into stitching. Period! Wish me luck - there are just so many distractions while I'm home now!

Happy New Year!

Both are great Ranae. I can see why the one piece may be boring to stitch, but keep at it. It's going to be a beauty when it's done.

I love both pieces! I own the older one but not the newer one. That one may come to live with me too sometime. :D Can't wait to see more!

Someone gave me some advice on boring projects --- do two strands of thread each time you stitch. After you do two strands on the boring project you can move to a more interesting project if you want, but you have to do the two first.

Believe it or not, it works. LOL

The sparrow piece is pretty.

Ranae, I love that Eye on the Sparrow sampler, in particular, I love the saying. Your WIP of it looks great! Love that My Betrothed Sampler, too. I want to stitch it for my bedroom. I'm sure once you get into the 'meat' of the sampler (ie, away from the boring borders!), you'll enjoy it more. It looks great so far!

Happy 2010!

Eye is such a neat piece, what a fun start. My Betrothed is lovely too, but I can see how it would be slow going. Looking forward to seeing your progress on Villages.
