Please remember to be kind to friends and family this holiday season. It is so easy to be nice to strangers and treat family like enemies.

Hallow Sampler

Happy Monday!!!!!

After looking at my sidebar at my finishes, I notices that the Hallow Sampler wasn't crossed out. I dug it out and finished what was left to stitch, which wasn't all that much from last year, yeah!!! Last year!

Sock Monkey

Happy almost weekend!!
I finished the Sock Monkey ornament from the JCS 2010 issue

I knew when I seen it, I had to stitch it for my mom.
My hometown is Rockford, thats where the sock monkey was invented. My mom use to make the monkey out of the Rockford socks.

Here is progress on my Prairie Schooler Band Samplers

Right now I couldn't be happier about my ornament donation to the breast cancer silent auction. If you go to the website

www.atticneedlework.com

for viewing you can find mine on newsletter #2. My auction number is 170.

I am so happy it already has a current bid of 60.00, can you believe it???

I can't!!! I would have be happy with 25.00 donation. So you see how excited this makes me.

You can check out some of the donations that were made in care of Cathey on this special blog she set up www.pumpkinpatchandcobreastfund.blogspot.com or even join for next year, hint! hint!

I am already looking forward to next years project.

Dandelions

Happy Sunny Tuesday, here in N. Illinois

Does eveyone in the world get these?
well known weeds like we do in the States

They start out as a pretty yellow flower
they go to seed

then you blow and make a wish

Do you know where I am going with this?

Woohoo!!! It's finished and I love it

Dandy Dreams by Silver Creek Samplings

28ct cream cashel w/DMC

I frogged the year once, don't know what the heck I was thinking, because it is 2010 right?!

I guess I am use to stitching older charts and have the habit of stitching the current year

I started the sock monkey from the JCS ornament issue, so hopefully I will have another finish to share with you.

Thanks for visiting my neck of the weeds (ooops! excuse me, woods)

Happy stitching!!!!!

"Dandy Dreams" by Silver Creek Samplers

stitching on 28ct cream cashel

it's going pretty fast with the 28ct

Take a breath
gently blow
spread your
dreams
& Let
them grow

I am really drawn toward the verse patterns anymore, must be a new fad with me, lol

I have to go have a victory dance with myself, just because the border matched up. Don't ya just love when that happens?????

Happy Stitching!!!!

Me and You

Happy November 1st

Me & You Sampler by Midsummer Night Designs
stitched on 32 ct Sand w/DMC
The colors are so much richer, I must have taken a million snaps
I did change some of the colors around and made the house into a log cabin
I think this will be finshed as a pillow

I will leave you with photo's of last night Halloween 2010

Grandson Dalton slept right through it, lol

Thanks for stopping by, I promise to get caught up on blog reading and commenting just as soon as we get the Verizon MiFi shipped here and set up. This dial-up sucks
Happy Stitching!!!!

Thank Goodness it's Friday!!!!
This year I have really sucked stitching Halloween, so here's another flashback, I believe from last year

There Was an Old Lady by Priairie Moon
I did get kinda festive for a potluck at work last night. This is what I made up for a healthy wise snack
Apple wedges cut to look like a monster mouth and slivered almonds for teeth. They were a hit.
You can also use caramel wrap cut to make a tongue or friut roll ups. I was in a hurry making them up and just couldn't figure out a way to make the tongue stick without falling out.
The couple in You and Me Sampler now have heads so they can kiss
I did change the house to a log cabin, a few people picked that out the last post and I forgot to mention it.
I started Houses of Hawk Run Hollow

I am going to take my sweet little time with this one versus Villages. I am going to savor it, lol

I don't like posting much anymore, either blogger changed or its my computer.

Happy Hallow's Eve!!!!!

Nothing exciting, but it is progress

The Prairie Schooler
I can't get my pic turned right either. What has happened???? I don't like it!!!!!
I can't even copy and paste, WTH!!!!!
Here's a little stash I have bought here and there.

I will leave you with Kellie's first homecoming
Kellie is the 4th from the left in the purple

Friday, October 8, 2010

Hello!!!!

Happy Friday!!!!

First of all I would like to graciously Thank all of you that left comments and emails on my last post. Thank You! Thank You!!! They meant the world to me.
I finally finish Frederick, I love the colors.

Frederick by Carriage House Samplings

Well, my links seem not to be woking at this moment. Sweet Kathy A from Kathy's Sit and Stitch sent me some pretty spooky Carrie's Creation threads

Harvest Brew, Harvest moon and Halloween. I love them so much Kathy.
Thank You! my friend. Just right to get my butt in gear, lol

While I haven't felt like doing anything stitchy related. I did finish this design and even finished it off

Miss Mary Mac's Pins & Needles Pincushion by M Designs

Stitched on 35ct Parchment w/ CC floss, for the letters I used Needle Necessitites 127

filled with walnut shells

I do have two new starts trying to get the mojo juices flowing here. These colors are just so blah after stitching Frederick

Band Samplers by Prairie Schooler.

I dont have too much started on Houses of Hawk Run Hollow, so no pic.

I finally got around to drawing a name for the Happy Camper pattern. So sorry it took so long.

Teresa S from At the Willow Tree Pond blog is the lucky draw

Thanks so much for visiting.

Happy Stitching!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A finish and a new grandson

Happy Tuesday!!!

"Witches Nine" by The Primitive Needle
stitched on 40 mello

I have a brand new precious grandbaby.
Dalton Stephen was born on Friday, August 13th at 8:10pm
weighing in at 6lbs. 14oz.

The nurse put the ink stamp off Dalton's feet on daddy's arm.
Yes! he has since washed it off

I am so far behind in blogging. I just don't have the desire to stitch, read or be on the computer much these days.
Thanks so much for stopping by my little corner of world.

Happy Camper

It's Monday!!!!
"Happy Camper" by Raise the Roof Designs
Just a scrap piece of blue fabric with GA threads and Just Another Button Company buttons
If you are interested in this chart, let me know in the comments and I will draw a name
This is where I am with Witches Nine. I started the bottom border last night, I pretty sure that will involve many hours as it is slow going

I heard from Marjorie that she received my Blogoversary package this week.

Bent Creek designs. I think it may be called Boo Name Tag????

I was going to start Prairie Moon's "The Crypt Club" and notice it takes Belle Soie Silks. I tried the DMC floss toss and it's not anything like the silks. I don't want to make the investment on the silks right now, so it will go back in the draw. Darn it! I wish I would have seen that, oh well!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate the comments.
