A Valentine finish and a little stash

Happy Monday!

The snow is falling ever so softly here.
This is my ort jar for a year

Snoopy, our house cat

See what I filled the little pillow with?! some orts

This is a freebie from http://www.thestitcherhood.com/

This is how I finished the back...

I'm giving it to Kellie for the special day and hope she cherishes it forever and ever.

My hubby twisted my arm and made me go to http://inspiredneedle.com/ on Saturday. He wanted to spend his gift cards from Christmas and this was the last weekend for the boat show at Bass Pro Shop in Bolingbrook. This is what I bought..

"Me & You Sampler by MidSummer Night Designs with 32ct sand "Hootzi Humbug by Just Nan w/owl charm and 28ct desert sand
"Sweetheart Sampler" by Blackbird Designs
Kajsa brought it to my attention for the BBD Wednesday SAL, but I didn't have it, so now I do, for next year.

Speaking of BBD SAL. Kajsa and Suzanne are wanting me to stitch this

with them on Mondays. Can I do it with all my WIP's??!! I'm gonna try.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I enjoy all the comments and emails.

Everyone that took the charts Thank You! I have heard from a few of you that you received them. If you haven't gotten yours yet... they are or will be on their way soon. That was a job sorting and mailing them all out, but I am so glad to share them and they are all gone.

Ta Ta for now....

This all looks so good! Nice stash, too. I had seen that you were giving some things away, and looked through, but didn't see anything I felt I'd get around to stitching within the year (My plate is already over-filled!!), so I figured I wouldn't ask and would let people who really needed/or really wanted make the request. I've been thinking for a while that I'd like to give away charts as I finish them--now I just have to get around to finishing some things!!

What a great way to use up your left-over threads, Ranae--I never would have thought of that. Love the little Valentine's Day piece :)

Have fun deciding which new chart to stitch next--they are all so pretty!

YGG with all that new stash! That's a great idea to give away the charts the way you did. I should organize myself to do that too.

Love the little pillow you did and stuffing it with the thread ends - very clever. You've given me a good idea.

I love your stitching finish it looks fantastic.

I tried keeping an ort jar but it only lasted a couple of days before my girls emptied it out. Since then I just put my scraps straight into the rubbish bin.

Great idea to use orts for stuffing. I've stitched that piece, too, but not finished yet. Nice stash building - good hubby! Sure you can add another to your WIPs... that one is lovely!

Great new stash, Ranae! I love your little valentine finish, too. I saw on Lee/Lake Stitcher's blog that she stitched up something for her daughter for Valentine's Day, too, and I feel like a heel that I never even considered doing a stitched giftie for V Day for my girls. I'll have to remedy that. Thanks for the inspiration!
