Another Valentine's finished

Happy Superbowl Sunday!
It was a very productive day for me.
Started and finished all in one day, Ha!

"Be Mine" freebie found here The_Sampler_Girl

Warm gooey cinnamon rolls

Here's the recipe

1/2 cup melted shortening, 1/2 cup sugar

2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon cinnamon

2 beaten eggs

1 pkg. yeast

1/2 cup warm water

2 cup milk

7 cup flour

Combine cooled shortening, sugar, salt and eggs.

Add yeast softened in the warm water, (not hot or it will kill the yeast)

Add warm milk, alternately with the flour. Knead lightly. let rise in a greased bowl, until doubled in bulk.

Punch down. Roll dough into a big rectangle. Brush with melted butter. Mix cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle mixture over dough.

Place in a greased pan. Let rise until double in bulk.

Bake 350 degrees for 35mins. (my crew likes them doughy so I bake for about 20-25 mins.)

For a rich drizzle mix 1 cup powered sugar with a little milk

I pre-ordered my Autumn of Hawk Run Hollow chart and fabric this weekend from Karen.

Speaking of that you can check out some of the squares on her blog http://kathybarrick.blogspot.com/

I think it is so cool that Kathy took the time to comment on my last post.

I want the new Blackbird Loose Feather "Winter Wonderland" so bad. That kit will be my next purchase. Here's a photo http://www.flickr.com/photos/happy_stitcher/4326006128/

I can't wait to try your cinnamon rolls. I would have stopped for the yeast today on my way home but all the crazies are at the store because of a pending snow storm. This weekend for sure....with lots of icing drizzled over. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

I just had to make your cinnamon rolls. How yummy. I had to laugh because no two of my 'buns' looked the same. It was a fun treat for my grandson and I on a snowy afternoon. I think they will become a family favorite.
