make-over frame and WIP's

This is the frame I was talking about in the last post. I bought it for a few dollars at the flea market last weekend.

I liked the grape vines, but over all I though it was ugly. I could envision something like this:

I think I will try to find a vine stencil to add to it.

I think a Tombstone Angel design will fit it perfect.

Here is Frederick so far

Shown with my new purchase "Charlene" Ginghers. Finally my local JoAnn's had the designers series, and with a half off coupon, sweet!!!!!

My next WIP didn't get too far again, because of the frogs. They sure love The Drawn Thread's "There's No Place Like Home"

It should be called "There's No Place Like Frogging"

See where it starts with the "H", it's a thread to short at the top. It took me forever to find it.

This is what I started for my Wednesday BBD. The only day that is dedicated to a WIP

"Their Song" Stitching on 28ct Apple Bindy Brown w/ WDW. It seems so huge on this count, I can hardly stand it, lol

There's still time to add your name to win the scissor frog in the last post. Please! comment on that post only for a chance to win. I will pick a name later this week

Until next time...

Happy Stitching!!

I chuckled so hard when I saw that frame! That is so like you!
Frederick is looking good.
Those frogs must have found their way to you. I thought I chucked them all out in San Antonio. Or maybe they heard the word scissor "frog" and came to check it out!

You certainly have been busy. The frogs were here in Atlanta Thursday night!

Funny Frame! So perfect.
I love the new start...I've had that pattern on the brain all week. Could be that the cherry trees are in bloom! I should pull it out and make it a new start too.
Also, loved the froggin' comment. Don't we hate him coming to visit?
Take Care!

Very cool idea for the frame. The frogs have been everywhere lately it seems. Don't you hate it when you're just off by one stitch like that!

Fred's looking good! As does all the other stitching; I've had little frogs following me around all week. Maybe even 2 weeks! Mercifully, they are smallish, and soon caught thus far.

I love your frame makeover. What are you going to put in it? A tombstone angel? Frederick is looking great - that piece has such wonderful colors in it!

And frogs!! UGH!! I only like the flower variety myself, but unfortunately the other ones come to visit much too often in my house!

Oh, that is a fabulous find! I LOVE how you converted it ;o)

Holy cow, look at all those WIPs. How can you keep them straight? LOL! I'm loving the new Ginghers but mom and dad are home from Florida now so I can't get them to pick them up for me. They did get me the plaid ones though :o)

Great job with the frame - perfect shape for what you have planned! I got my Charlene scissors too with my coupon - score! Usually I have to keep driving around to various Joann's but this time for once the store near me had them. I really must figure out what to do with all my scissors - they are sitting in a box LOL. I feel the same way about stitching on 28-ct - it's hard when you been on the higher count linens for awhile. Looking good!

Great frame and lovely progress sorry the frogs came to visit though it's awful when you cannot work out where you've gone wrong it sometimes only takes one stitch x
