Sock Monkey

Happy almost weekend!!
I finished the Sock Monkey ornament from the JCS 2010 issue

I knew when I seen it, I had to stitch it for my mom.
My hometown is Rockford, thats where the sock monkey was invented. My mom use to make the monkey out of the Rockford socks.

Here is progress on my Prairie Schooler Band Samplers

Right now I couldn't be happier about my ornament donation to the breast cancer silent auction. If you go to the website

www.atticneedlework.com

for viewing you can find mine on newsletter #2. My auction number is 170.

I am so happy it already has a current bid of 60.00, can you believe it???

I can't!!! I would have be happy with 25.00 donation. So you see how excited this makes me.

You can check out some of the donations that were made in care of Cathey on this special blog she set up www.pumpkinpatchandcobreastfund.blogspot.com or even join for next year, hint! hint!

I am already looking forward to next years project.

Weeeeeeeeeee!!!! have a super duper weekend all

Your sock monkey is very cute! I am stitching it, too, but haven't finished it yet. I didn't know it came from Rockford.

Congratulations on that $60 bid on your ornament. The money is going to a good cause.

I'll be following your progress on the PS Band Sampler--I don't think I've seen that one stitched up yet. You're off to a beautiful start :)

I love your sock monkey ornament. I've stitched this one myself but changed the colours, hoping to make it up into an ornament today.

I'm SO happy for you! I can't wait to get the final results of the auction though because I bet it went for more than that ;o)
