Another Friday finish, Yay!!!!!

"Carrotsicle" by Praiseworthy Stitches

stitched on 32ct unknown linen w/ Crescent Colour threads

Oh! Do the buttons look o.k. or should I stitch snowflakes???

I am really not sure how it looks,

so I would love your wonderful stitching opinions

I plan on finishing it as a pillow

Thanks so much for all your comments.

Have a great stitchy weekend!!!!

He's cute. I think I'd stitch snowflakes, the buttons seem to dominate the design a little to me

I like the buttons. Adds some special interest to the design for me. But whatever.. he's a cutie either way.

Cute, cute finish. I like the buttons -- think it adds a little whimsy to the piece.

He is cute...sorry, I think the buttons over power his face

Hmmm...he is so sweet and bright and pretty...either way it will be wonderful, Ranae! I kind of prefer the buttons...

What a cutie! I like the buttons, Ranae--I think they would look great on a pillow finish, too.

Great finish! I think snowflakes or buttons would be fine.

I think the buttons are a little distracting. I would go with snowflakes. Maybe snowflakes with a little blending filament sparkle.

Oh by the way ---- VERY cute project. I hit send before I got to finish saying what I wanted to.

What a cutie! The buttons are clever. Maybe smaller ones wouldn't make it look weighted on that side. But a cutie-patudie for sure!

ROFL! I've never seen this pattern before. He's cute! What about snowflake buttons if you're unsure?

What a sweet snowman, I think the buttons will look great when he's turned into a pillow.

He's really cute, but I think the buttons draw your gaze away from the snowman. I wish I could see it in person though. Sometimes photos will make parts of a design stand out, but in real life, it all blends together nicely. And besides - really - it all comes down to what YOU like!

What a cute design; great job hun; I think I would stitch the snowflakes. The buttons seem a little over whelming to me.

Hugs, Shar

I think the buttons are great; especially if you are making it into a pillow!!!

Don't forget about the Sunday after the super bowl stitching at Inspired Needle! I hope you can make it!!! Let me know if you need any more information, etc.

What a cute design! I like the buttons, but maybe smaller ones since these are a bit overwhelming?

Super cute!!
I have a 'thing' for collecting wee buttons so I like them but some simple snowflakes would definitely look great too. :)

Very cute! I like the buttons. Maybe you could use some sparkly Kreinik (if it fits through the holes) and stitch some little "spokes" from the button holes to the edge of each one?

He is a very cute snowman. Maybe you should do a couple snowflakes and a couple of buttons?

What a cute design and it will be perfect finished as a pillow!

I always struggle with embellishment decisons so I'm of no help. :(

I like him - I think if you made a pillow that had buttons in the corners or something that may "tone" them down...but I do like the buttons.
