Vera Happiness

Happy Monday!

From this...

To this...

I stopped by the Aurora Outlet Mall before stitching with the ladies yesterday. The Vera Bradley store was heaven.
I took my camera, but when I took it out to take photo's, the battery was DEAD.

I found lots and lots of beautiful things and decided on the Villager Purple Punch, it was 72.00, the outlet price was 45.00.

I plan on going back at the end of the week to take Kellie shopping and to pick up a matching accessory.

Thank You for all the suggestion's on Vera bags in comment and all the emails I received

Peace!!

Edited to add:

Where is the best place to get a Vera Bradley for my WIP's??

And are they called totes for sewing stash or are they something else??

Going to these GTG's a girl needs something pretty to put her WIP's

Thanks in advance for your help

I framed Thirteen Owls with a 4.99 frame, I found at Michael"s

Chocolate Turnovers, the recipe can be found here www.hersheys.com/recipes/6598/chocoalte-turnovers.aspx

Sorry the next photo's are washed out,

and then she got it up in the tree,

Off to start a new design

Friday Finish

Happy Friday!!!!
I finished stitching Thirteen Owls this morning

Thirteen Owls by Plum Street Samplers
stitched on 40ct Purely Primitive linen w/ Crescent Color floss

I found this next one at a second hand store and knew she was going home with me.
I took it out of the dingy frame. I'm not sure what I will do with it,
any ideas??

It's looks old, but it's not stitched on Aida, evenweave, I think
If you look closely, you might be able to tell the stitches go different ways with each colored thread, never seen that done before. Despite that I think it is a neat little piece.

Next up is a couple of charts that Cathy from www.inspiredneedle.com sent to me this week, after she got the order shipped in from France
Sampler aux Bouquets I and II by Jardin Prive

I plan to stitch all three parts together. It will look like this...

The third part is not out yet
Now to find a linen to stitch it on, then I can get started, the faster the better :)
Thanks so much for all the comments on my last post, they are much appreciated
Happy Stitching!!!!

Sad day

Hello!!
I was deeply saddened to hear the tragic loss of Lori from http://www.theprimitiveneedlehome.com/
She will be greatly missed by the stitching community. She was one of my favorite designers.
My Prayers and Thoughts go out to her family
On a better note...
I was invited to spend a day of stitching on Sunday at the http://www.inspiredneedle.com/ with blogging friend Laura. She is such a sweetie and all the ladies gave me a warm welcome. It was my very first time that I ever stitched with anyone and it won't be my last time, it was so fun and inspiring, I really can't explain it!
I met some stitchers that are bloggers too Karin, Teresa, and Patti.
This is Linda that just got back her framed piece by Chessie and Me, Mighty Oaks Sampler
Beautiful stitching!!!

That's the only picture I have to share. I didn't want to take a photo of someone who didn't want it posted on a blog. I don't plan on getting stuck with needles my next stitching visit, lol

I did some stashing too

Sunday night after I got home I started on BBD Gathering Basket with 30ct Espresso

I finished stitching block 4 of Houses of HRH

And here is my new cherished book, I can keep going back and finding something different each time I look at it.

Happy Stitching!!!!
