A finish

Happy Wednesday!! Finished...

"My Betrothed Sampler" by Birds of a Feathers

36 ct, I can't recall the linen w/Sampler threads and DMC

Saturday was the GTG at Welcome_Stitchery in Crystal lake, IL.

There was 19 of us for lunch, it was a fun day.

Meari drove 1/2 hr to my house to ride with me, yay!

My camera didn't capture a very good pic of all of us, you can go to Eva's blog and see them.

I did get photo's of Kim's (no blog) fantastic finish
It's called The Canadian_Journey Book, click the link for details

Oopsie!!! upside down, sorry for the headstand shot :)

Remember when I did the Lizzie Kate Boo Flip-its in the kermit linen??

I whacked out again and went with Carrot linen for the Lizzie kate Halloween Rules

I love the bright linen colors, for these fun designs so much more then the drab color called for

Here's my new stash

I did pick "In the Garden" (Adam & Eve) by La-D-Da and already have it, does anyone want to do a trade??

The linen for the Jardin design came yesterday and can't wait to start it.

Speaking of new starts...

"Witches Hollow" won over JB Halloween Sampler by just 3 votes, so that will be a new start there too :)

I am almost done with the BOAF stocking, but with tax time crunch, softball games high school and club and the grandkiddies, there's not much time left to do what I love to do... stitch

We are taking the family out for pizza tonight to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary today

Is there an old blogger that I can do my post with???

It's hard to arrange the photo's and add links, any help would be great, Thanks!!!

I can't hardly stand to post anymore, it's not easy like it use to be

Whew!!! I think that's about it, Thanks! if your still with me :)

Happy Stitching!!!

Gorgeous sampler! And I lover your LK's.

That Canadian Journey piece is outstanding!

I don't get the blogger thing. Mine is no different than before.

Me again. Go to the 'settings' tab. Scroll down and there are options for selecting the post editor. Mine has 'old editor' checked.

I love your sampler and really like the matting on the piece.

That Canadian Journey is just outstanding. I think that it's the first one that I've seen done.

I can't help on the Blogger issues, but maybe Annie's suggestion will work for you.

Congratulations on the finishes! It sounds like you had a fun day! I hope you get Blogger figured out, I think I was using the classic mode for a while, but goodness knows I don't remember what I did to get it, lol.

I recently went thru HUGE amounts of grief with Blogger. Now I log into my blog thru Mozilla Firefox when I want to post. I read all the troubleshooting stuff on Blogger and they said that Firefox is who supports them and it's a free download. Good Luck. I know I was about to throw in the towel....

Lovely finish on Bethrothed Sampler! And I do like the brighter color fabric on your Lizzie Kate's -but I am such a coward with bright colors :(

Sorry about your struggles with posting. I barely understand how to post myself-don't get discouraged, it's always fun to see what you are up to.

Love the Betrothed sampler, it's gorgeous:))
Canadian Journey is lovely, have got this and hope that one day.....

Blogger can be a pain sometimes with loading pics as well, so I do it another day and I also use Firefox, a much better explorer with less virus problems.

You have some lovely pieces of work!

If you want to avoid posting through blogger, download Windows Live Writer (just google it and you'll find it). It's an application for your PC where you can write you blog posts anytime (you don't need an internet connection, necessarily) and then when you're ready to post, you can go online and post to your blog through Live Writer. It makes things *so* much easier!

Good luck!

WOW what a fun post ranae - I enjoyed reading about all the fun you had with all those stitchers at the LNS. HOW fun and your Betrothed sampler is just wonderful. I too am excited about starting the Jardin Sampler Bouquet - I am getting Cathy to convert to silks for me - I think I have a piece of fabric I can use. I know what you mean about blogger being a pain - what works best for me is to just upload all the photos in the order I want them to appear and then insert(type) my text in between the photos - it's not easy any more for sure but please don't stop posting ! Forgot to mention, I've met Meari too! I went to her house!

Ohhh that's a lovely finish! I have this BOAF in my stash and really must stitch it up! I didn't see anyone else respond to doing a trade for the La D Da Adam & Eve ... what would you like to swap for it??

The Canadian Voyage finish pics are incredible. I've always loved that design, but figured the finishing was beyond my humble talents.

Happy Anniversary, Ranae! Hope you have many more happy years together :)

I love your sampler--beautiful colors. And how nice to get together with all those stitchers at Welcome Stitchery--fun, fun!!

Your fabric colors for the LK finishes look great, too.

Hi Ranae

I succumbed to the pressure LOL and bought the 3 Jardin patterns as well ~ what linen did you get? I am thinking of 40 ct lambswool but I am not that good with 40 ct

Beautiful finish! And I think the carrot linen is going to be perfect for your Halloween Rules. Exciting about starting Witches Hollow too - great choice. Hope you can get blogger figured out. I usually just manually move things around in the html to get them to work correctly.

Another finish...wow your going fast..
I logve all the pics.. beautifull pieces!!!

Gorgeous finish Ranae!

Nice new stash too.

Love your framed L*K.

Can't wait to see you stitching Witches Hollow.

Gorgeous sampler!!!

I must have lucked out or something because I didn't even realize Blogger had changed anything. I wonder why some of us just 'stuck' with the old stuff and didn't get switched to the new ones? Huh. I'm glad it didn't though because I get stuck in a rut and hate changes like that. lol

Sue said...

Oh, your sampler is just beautiful ;)

Meari said...

Congrats on your sampler finish, and Happy Belated Anniversary!!

Kim's finish certainly was beautiful, wasn't it?!?

Not sure what you mean about blogger... Mine's the same.

Had a great time at the Welcome Stitchery GTG :)

Happy Belated Anniversary, hope you had a great day.

Congratulations on your finishes :D
Halloween Rules is on my to-stitch list ;) I love that one so much!!

I don't have trouble with blogger so I'm not quite sure about what's the problem you're having =/
You find it difficult to add images? What's the difference between now and before?
