My space

Happy Friday!!!

Here is a peek into my stitching room

Someone and I can't recall right now, ask me what do I do with my finished stitching that has to be framed or finished finished. This is how I keep my pieces

I hang about 7 or 8 give or take to a snap or clip hanger and display them on my white shelves which just happen to have holes on the corners, perfect! you can kind of see in my first photo

How do you store your stitchy pieces??

I have a little more stitched on Witches Hollow then this, I took this pic last week, having good intentions to posting before this.

In this next snaps are pictures of my new grandpuppy. I met Remington on Easter Day at my house with my son's family. Daltons perfect playmate, you should see the two of them, 9 month old boy and 7 week puppy, I need to get some photos and share soon

Thanks so much for all your comments and emails, they mean the world to me.

Happy Spring!!!! Happy Stitching!!!! Happy Gardening!!!

or whatever you find joy in doing

Your room looks great! I like the wire "dress form"(?) you have on the wall with small pieces hanging from it.

Wow, that's a handful! A baby and a puppy! Wow! Cute as a button though! Love your Witches Hollow! And I looooove your stitching room! Great color for the walls! And good way to store your stitching too. I have all my finishes rolled up in mailing tubes, waiting for framing. I wonder if I'll ever get them all framed. lol!

I was the lucky one who got to see it in person... the pics are great :)

Cute puppy. Lab, right?

I only have like 3 small pieces that aren't finish-finished. They're small, so I have them in a drawer of my china hutch.

Your room is breath taking - I loved all the projects in the bin. Wowsers! And you are the 2nd person that hangs their finishes that I know of. I just lay them in a drawer until I get to them.

The pup is a cutie - some one is taking on a 'second' child! lol

What a fabulous stitching room! And that's a great idea for displaying the pieces before they are framed. Mine are either rolled in a tube or laying flat in a box. I'm just plain out of room for any more!

The puppy is just so cute. Is there any such thing as a puppy who isn't! Must be fun to watch the baby and puppy play together.

Love your stitching room, and Witches Hollow is coming along nicely. Your grandpuppy is the cutest thing on four legs! All of the pieces I've finished are actually finished finished, but I think you've stitched way more projects than I have.

Ranae, there is no way I could catch up with your stitching, You Rock Girl! I tend to stitch small things, and I was a needlepointer for years. I guess it all balances out in the end. I love your stitching room, mine is called the cozy room, and each weekend one of the kids are home and sleeping in it. They never leave!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fondly, Deb

Your room is awesome Ranae!!!! LOVE IT :o) I like how you store you finished pieces. Mine are just in a tote :o(

What a cute grandpuppy! How could you not fall in love with that bundle of fur? LOL!

I sorta have a room like that, but I have to share it with the computer desk too. And I don't have as many cute things on the walls. I do have all my pieces that don't hang in the house and my seasonal pieces too. I don't have stitched pieces that aren't finished. I try and do something with them as soon as I can. Bet the puppies loved playing together!

What a great space you have there!! :D

Your stitching room looks like a fun place to spend time in! I love all the stitched pieces you have hanging on the walls!

I used to press my pieces when I finished stitching them and then wrap them around a gift wrap cardboard tube. For the past several months I've been hanging them on hangers just like you do. I think I like that way better.

Remington is adorable! I would love to give him a hug.

Super room!!
I confess to just rolling up my pieces and putting them in a designated rubbermaid drawer I have tucked away in a closet. I forget sometimes what I have in there too so it's always a surprise when I go digging in there. lol
I think I like your way better because this way you get to see them and can rotate them around and stuff.
Have a great weekend!

I love your room! I have a space in the lounge behind the fence which keeps small boy away from the TV and woodburner. I stitch in the sofa and keep my finished pieces rolled up in a very large chest waiting for the perfect frame.

Your stitching room is beautiful, thats a clever way of storing your unframed finishes, mine just sit in a basket where I can't see them

Brigitte said...

Cozy and very inviting, your stitching room. And I so love your idea of keeping your finished pieces exposed to view them. I have them all rolled up on cardboard, hidden in a corner of my stitching closet.

Oh, what a charming room, Ranae!! I loved looking at each and every little detail. I like the idea of hanging your finishes that way--good way to keep the wrinkles out before you frame them.

Enjoy your Grandpuppy--he is adorable :)

Love your 4 new starts~!

Also loved the sewing room tour, though I can't help wishing for enlarge-able pics so I can see the pieces on your walls more clearly. :D

You have a lot of gorgeous pcs waiting to be framed, too!

Wow a super stitching room, i could spend some time in there.

My stitched pieces are rolled up and stored inside an old pillowcase in a drawer

Aww cute little playmate for your grandson

I LOVE your stitching room. Oh, how I would love to have one. I can't believe you have all those finished pieces and they aren't framed. I have one piece that needs to be framed and it's driving me crazy that I've waited so long to get it done.

I loved seeing a glimpse into your stitching nest. I am so envious of you having your own space--it looks great!
