Constuction completed

on house #5 of Hawk Run Hollow

House #6 is going to be a brut with the block being stitched solid, yay!

I had alot of emails about the crushed walnut that I use in my pinkeeps.

I am sorry if I missed a response to anyone.

I buy it at the pet store in the bird dept. The bag last a long, long time.

It keeps your needles sharp and clean

I keep the bag in the deep freeze to kill the eggs or worms or whatever

I have never seen or had a problem with it, but have heard of others who have.

Well, I better scoot.

Anna (no blog) is coming from Madison to stitch and do some finishing tomorrow with me, yay!

Keep your fingers crossed I will have some finished finished products to show

If anyone close by wants to drop in, your more then welcome, just email me or call if you have my number

Happy Stitching!!!!!

Oh awesome - thanks so much for posting about the walnut litter! I read a bunch of reviews on-line at PetSamrt after seeing your post and it seem that I will be able to use it both for finishing and for my bird-cages! Win!

Pretty HRH block! Interesting about the walnut litter. I'll keep it in mind for sure.

Nice house finish! Since I enjoy the Mystic patterns, your next house won't be much different from that....but probably a lot less confetti! I'm vacationing in Sheridan Ill, in Sept. do you know any LNS nearby there? I'm taking my mom, daughter and Granddaughter for the week.

Congratulations on the finish!

I've seen the bird litter in the (US) Pet Smart, too. I can't get it over here but instead have poly pellets.

Have a good weekend!

HOpe you have a good time stitching with your friend(s); I know I always (and I mean ALWAYS) have a blast with my buds! Your house looks great!

I use the crushed walnuts too - they are in the lizard area at my pet store. I split the bag with a friend or two, since there is plenty.

What is the name of the pattern of the alpha bird in your banner - it is sweet!!

Awesome block. Love those HrH blocks.
Thanks also for the info on Walnut crush. I have here a beautiful little owl pillow I got from an exchange which is filled with it. And I love it.

I *just* bought a bag of that stuff a couple days ago. I was inspired by you all who swear by it. Thanks for posting that bit about putting it in the freezer. I didn't know you could have problems with it like that.
