I finished my box and that makes me happy :)
Casting A Spell by Blackbird Designs
30 ct Confederate grey linen w/ GA
I cut the jello boxes in half to give them half the height, I didn't like them flushed to the top, with the inside compartments being all the way down inside
Now... do keep in mind I didn't start all these Halloween stitches this year, they were started last year. I'm trying hard to make a dent in my WIP basket. There is always and I mean always something coming out that I want to stitch, you know exactly what I mean, lol
Maybe I should try yet again this year to finish this very old WIP
I finally found and bought a swing arm slack rack, I need another, two or three, lol
One for Halloween/fall and one for Christmas alone
I don't remember where I seen this idea, pintrest or a magazine, but I couldn't get it out of my head, each time I used my ribbon. So I took action
Boy, does it make a difference, now I can see without digging for a color I want or need to buy, it even holds spools, look at the bottom right hand corner, boom baby!!
I found it at General Dollar store ($4.00) after searching high and low, but they only had one, I will be checking there again for more
I'll be back with photo's of my Halloween stitchy wall, just a few more added, lol
Thanks for visiting and leaving comments I love to read, it truly gives me inspiration
Happy Day!! Happy Stitch!!

Wow, what a great finish! I love this box, and maybe one day I'll get one done.
Love the ribbon rack. I was just at Dollar General yesterday, but didn't think to look for one. I'll be on the hunt now, that is fabulous!

Wow what a great finish!!
Great finish on Cast a Spell! I an envious of your Victorian House #9 and #15. I have stitched and framed #9 several years ago, not knowing there was a neighbors house with trick or treaters! I love that you are doing it as one piece! Can't wait to see your finish.
Congratz with your lovely box... great job!!!

Your box really turned out well. Who knew how useful jello boxes could be!
And yes, that WIP is one that has sat around too long. I think that's definitely one to give some time to.
Clever idea for the ribbon. I might even have an old hanger like that around somewhere in Hoarder Heaven where I live!
I love your box!
Gorgeous! Amazing amount of work!
Fantastic finish - congratulations.
Great idea for the spools of ribbons & trims! Thanks for sharing!
Whoo hooo! It looks fabulous. Love the slack hanger for ribbons - I will have to search for some of those.
Great finish!!
Your Halloween box looks fabulous! Great idea for your ribbon. Will probably be stealing it :-) Pinterest is so addicting...now to find the time to do all the cool things we find on there. Take care!
Your casting a spell box looks great. I had will power this last weekend on retreat and did not buy it. Good luck with that dent in the WIP basket......seems any progress I make on mine gets negated but another WIP I have come across.
I love that little WIP. It is so cute!!absolutely love the box!!!
Oh, I just love your box. I've only seen one of those finished and know how beautiful it is when finished. Wonderful job!!
I also like the piece that you're stitching too!
Your box is really neat. Congrats on the finsh!
Your Casting a Spell looks great! Thanks for sharing your idea to cut the jello boxes in half. Thanks also for sharing your use for slack hangers. Too bad I already threw my old ones out.

Wow, what a great finish, Ranae! YGG on doing all the smalls. Great idea for the ribbon rack, too. Your WIP is adorable.

Beautiful work on your box Ranae! I love this pattern but I know I'll never get the box finished.
That's a great idea for storing your ribbon. I don't think I've ever seen any of those around here.
Love the box finish. I look for a box like that when I go to the antique shops...but I only go once a year or so. I put my ribbon on tension rods and then inside the open area of my cabinet. I agree, it's so much easier to see what you have!
