Retreat center
Happy May Day!!
It is newly remodeled, and a perfect place to stay. Liz and Sherry (owners of the upstairs and the shop)
Last weekend 7 of us stayed upstairs above The Stitchery Nook in Osage, Iowa. In a later post...when I was there I took pictures of the shop, there were others staying up there. Sherry showed us a little bit, but I didn't want to impose taking photos.
Here's the upstairs, it sleeps up to 15, has four bathrooms, nice comfy chairs, well stocked kitchen with utensils, pans, and dishes, body soap and shampoo in the bathrooms, Ott lights, (table and floor) one with big magnifer. There is also a quilt shop and other shopping plus a fabulous restaurant like two doors down called Teluwat.
We had a blast, I think we laughed more then anything. Thanks to Anna, Terry, Jackie, Lois, Julie and Linda for a fabulous, recharging weekend
The kitchen is open to the right
The next photo is the big room, with only seven of us we stayed in the main room,
We shared tables to stay close, ear reach of everyone and close to the food
Clearly everyone can have their own table, it is light and airy
are totally wonderful. We booked for next year already.
I finally found Liberty at a shop in Elkader, Iowa, (pit stop on the way)
I kitted it up at The Stitchery Nook and even started it

Penny Harvest
Good Morning,
I finished another WIP. I started this last October. I bought the pattern at Inspire Me Retreat and just now got it stitched. I'm thinking maybe a flatfold finish. I stitched it on cocoa linen, but the photo shows much lighter color. I love the colors in this.
Thank you for putting out charts I just can't resist, lol
Keep up the great work, Jan
Here's Penny America Jan also designed. I stitched this years ago, one of my favorites
It's trying to rain here this morning, I hope it's sunny where you live. I love rain, it gives me more time to stitch and less yard work, doh!!!!
I've really been getting my WIP's done. I have been focusing on one at a time. I didn't realize I could finish them faster then skipping from one WIP to another, ok well I did but don't tell anyone, ha
I've been good not to start anything, but it's killing me!!!!!
Make time to stitch today and everyday ✂️

I'm a proud finisher
Good evening!!
I have to share my project bag I made this afternoon. I absolutely love it, and it was sew easy.
I watched Vonna from The Twisted Stitcher tutorials, so all of her instructions gets the credits.
Sorry! I can't get a hyperlink.
It's not perfect, but I'm sure they will get better with each one I make.
This one measures 11 x 13, perfect for my stitchy projects

Long time, No blog
Hello!! All my awesome talented stitchy friends,
I haven't shared anything since Thanksgiving. I have so many things going that I'm not making any progress on any one project.
I did finish Stacy Nash, Colonial Homestead Pinkeep Drum
She sewed me this quilt bag made with blackbird design fabrics and stitched a little Just Nan mouse
This is what I made Anna
Isabella from The Primitive Hare is the designer
I found this in the 2015 Christmas issue of Punch Needle & Primitive Stitcher magazineI packed it with sawdust. I love the smell of sawdust in a finish. I always forget to add a little lavender
I'll be back another day with some WIPs
