Friday Finish

Happy Friday!!!!
I finished stitching Thirteen Owls this morning

Thirteen Owls by Plum Street Samplers
stitched on 40ct Purely Primitive linen w/ Crescent Color floss

I found this next one at a second hand store and knew she was going home with me.
I took it out of the dingy frame. I'm not sure what I will do with it,
any ideas??

It's looks old, but it's not stitched on Aida, evenweave, I think
If you look closely, you might be able to tell the stitches go different ways with each colored thread, never seen that done before. Despite that I think it is a neat little piece.

Next up is a couple of charts that Cathy from www.inspiredneedle.com sent to me this week, after she got the order shipped in from France
Sampler aux Bouquets I and II by Jardin Prive

I plan to stitch all three parts together. It will look like this...

The third part is not out yet
Now to find a linen to stitch it on, then I can get started, the faster the better :)
Thanks so much for all the comments on my last post, they are much appreciated
Happy Stitching!!!!

I love your owls. No idea what to do on the girl. Probably was a new stitcher that stitched it I figure.

Oh, those owls are too cute, Ranae!! What a darling piece...

Interesting stitching on your thrift store find--I've never seen that either.

And your new Jardin Prive project looks like it will be stunning! I really look forward to following your progress :)

Super owls! The Jardin Prive charts look wonderful.. you're in for some fun stitching.

The lady and her dog are just so sweet. I kind of like the effect of the stitches going in different directions on that. Gives it some texture. Maybe a happy accident!

I love 13 owls. It's is in my stash to do some day.
The little piece you saved is adorable. I've never seen one stitched that way either. Maybe they wanted to put in a little variety.

Thirteen owls looks great! Nice find on that stitched piece - Maybe a pillow? You new project will be a beauty, reminds me a bit of one of the BBD pieces, Mystery Sampler that was done in 3 parts.

Hi Ranae,

I picked up those Jardin du Prive this week as well at Cathy's:-)

Love your finish and such a great find. You could age the linen and make it into a little pillow with some antique trim around it to age it a little more.

Hope you make it soon again to one of our stitching sundays and the retreat of course!!

I really love your owls!! You didn't say how big that piece was that you found, but maybe you could make it into a journal cover or something - or a small pillow. It's very sweet. And those charts look wonderful too!

Your 13 owls are so cute! I also love your new patterns. Where is the store, close by? (Guess who's coming to IL soon?) Your lady would make a great pillow...I can see it with a ruffle too.

Congratulations on the finish! It's adorable!

I love the find, but not sure what to do with it. Maybe hemstitch the border, or make it into a pillow?

I love that series--can't wait to see your WIP pics!

Nice owl finish. I don't think I could stitch in different directions like that if I tried to! Good luck with your new series.
