I am so tired today. I pulled a all niter, its just a small one. It was so quite and i just got on a roll. I did the finishing this morning, just didn't put a hanger on it. I didnt use the floss it called for, I used colors I didnt use much of and some scrap linen. You can get the freebie here-->Glory Bee Free Design. I did finish my afghan last nite too. I took my daughter to see The Last Mimzy yesterday afternoon. I have seen better and worse. I bought a floss organizer at wal-mart yesterday and put my WDW threads in it. I dont know if I really like it, its so like flimsy. It does keep them in alphabet order. What is the best way? Your help would be appreciated. And does everyone have a problem with getting the hand-dyed fabric at your LNS. I have two shops that are a ways from where I live and they never have the fabric I am looking for. If I order from online, it never seems to be the right color I'm looking for. I might try to travel a little ways this weekend to try a different shop, then i could stock up, as my fabric stash is gettng low. Well, time for a nappy before I start dinner.
Happy Stitching!!! :)

Cute finish, and I love the afghan too. I hope you get caught up on your sleep. While an all nighter is fun while you are doing it, it is havic on the body the next day.

I don't have that many specialty fibers, so mine are just all in a baggie (one baggie per type) and I look through it if I need one. As to fabric, I'm lucky my LNS carrys a good selection. She is about an hour away, so I can't go often, but when I do I try to pick up a few pieces just to have as there is no place closer if I want to start something new. As to online fabric shopping, there are some lovely pieces out there, but it is hard to judge what the real color will be so I don't order that way very often.

Love your Glory Bee finish, Ranae! And your afghan is beautiful! Hope you catch up on your sleep... It usually takes my body days to catch up after little or no sleep...

As for you thread storage... I usually keep mine in floss-a-way bags arranged alphabetically or numerically in dresser drawers... :-)

Your kitty is so precious...

I absolutely LOVE the freebie (thanks for the hyperlink), and the afghan is gorgeous and sooo colorful, you talented little night owl, you! I'm a night person too. Hate mornings!

I don't like the flimsy Walmart gizmos either. I use Walmart's (craft department) really small plstic bags.... with the name of the color showing. I bought cheap Walmart long, narrow plastic boxes that fit the width of the little bags. I have quite a few of the plastic boxes lined up in a larger container, and labeled "A thru C" or whatever. Works great for me. I need to take a pic and put on my blog---let you know when.
