Lost & Found

Hi! Thanks again for all the awesome comments you leave. I dont have much to brag about my WIP's. My DD and I went berry picking this morning, up the road. Here's the harvest reap. Don't they look scrumptious?

Here are some crazy finishes, I did a long time ago. Do you remember whenever you finished a project and put it in a hoop with lace, lol. These must be from the early eighties.

They weren't so funny back then. I dont have a clue what to do with them now, except take them apart and find something more updated to do to them.
My friend gave me this really cool needle thread & needle holder

I was hoping my scissors would fit too, but I cant find them. I hope nobody finds them by sitting on them, ouch!!
Please keep my kitty in your prayers.

She had surgery yesterday. And still is very weak. I think she is mad at us too. So, there won't be any additions from her anyway. Which reminds me, I still owe you ladies a pic of the newborns at my DH shop. Mother had them in a dark corner in a box, we fixed her. The picture I did take last week didn't turn out too good. Besides they were under her too much really to see them. But, I will try a pic the next post.

Oh yeah before I leave here's a link for free thread Hand Dyed Fibers, I just found it and the mail lady still has to pick up my SASE today. I dont know how long its been going. I am probably last the last person to find it. And it's everything not to buy more stash, The Stitcher's Closet is having a 15% off sale, and with no shipping and tax, I can get a really good deal, right? lol. Have a great weekend!! I wish you all a Happy Stitch with no frogging!!

Oh my goodness! I know that I used the lace-on-the-hoop finishing method on just about everything that I stitched in the 80's.

I remember when we finished pieces with the ruffle around them like that!! Poor little kitty! I hope she's back to her old self again soon! Have a great day!

Yes, I remember those days of the hoop and lace. The stitching is very pretty, hope you can find a different way to finish them to get them updated somewhat ;)

The berries do look delicious. Hope your kitty is feeling better soon.

The stitching projects finished in that style do look familiar, I have one or two finished that way too, LOL. It is fun looking back and seeing how things change through time. The House Blessing one reminds me of one of the Creative Stitching kits. They did home shows back in the 80's to teach needlework and sell kits, boy does that seem ages ago.

Hi Ranae, thanks for reading my blog and for leaving a comment. I haven't started either ATS of CdD yet. ATS possibly won't get started for awhile yet as my rotation seems to be full of large designs and I would like to incorporated some smaller ones into it. As for CdC, I should have my threads next week, possibly Tuesday. I wasn't going to start it yet, need a slot in my rotation, but after reading your blog and the CdC blog, I have decided to make it my week-end stitch. So I should be able to post its progress every Tuesday, as I work on Mondays, at the same time that I post my progress on my other wips to my blog. Could you please let me know if there are passwords to access the CdC blog and what the passwords are? Thank you so much for everything. I also hope that your kitty recovers from its surgery quickly.

We went berry picking by accident on the way home from a Community Festival...we saw them and started picking them. We got enough to have them for dessert that night.

Hi Ranae: Thank you for your really nice comment in my blog!! I hope that your kitty is home and doing much better now!! I have a Paula Vaughn project that was so pretty but done on Aida cloth that I put in a hoop with a ruffle back in the early 1980's. I gave it to my mom for her birthday but when she got mad at me for some reason, she would put it up on the closet instead of hanging up. We thought it was neat to frame things that way back then, but they don't look that good anymore do they? Times have really changed and now I need to learn to do finishes of fobs, pinkeeps etc. The pictures you did are really beautiful though in those hoops! Debby :)
