Spooky wall

Hello stitching peeps,

Here is my Halloween wall in my sewing room

I keep it going on all year

I can now share what I stitched one of my contest winners

Kellie from Indiana (no blog) won the crow pinkeep with added surprises
The design is from Autumn Splendor by With Thy Needle & Thread

I can't post the other win because I haven't heard from her yet, should any day now.
I also sent out a Halloween birthday surprise to someone today and stitched a retreat exchange, so can't show them either, I'm just no fun, lol

Have a great stitchy weekend,
I know I will with this cool, rainy weather
Tata for now

Casting A Spell

Happy Hump Day!!!!
I finished my box and that makes me happy :)

Casting A Spell by Blackbird Designs
30 ct Confederate grey linen w/ GA
I cut the jello boxes in half to give them half the height, I didn't like them flushed to the top, with the inside compartments being all the way down inside

Now... do keep in mind I didn't start all these Halloween stitches this year, they were started last year. I'm trying hard to make a dent in my WIP basket. There is always and I mean always something coming out that I want to stitch, you know exactly what I mean, lol

Maybe I should try yet again this year to finish this very old WIP

I finally found and bought a swing arm slack rack, I need another, two or three, lol
One for Halloween/fall and one for Christmas alone
I don't remember where I seen this idea, pintrest or a magazine, but I couldn't get it out of my head, each time I used my ribbon. So I took action

Boy, does it make a difference, now I can see without digging for a color I want or need to buy, it even holds spools, look at the bottom right hand corner, boom baby!!

I found it at General Dollar store ($4.00) after searching high and low, but they only had one, I will be checking there again for more

I'll be back with photo's of my Halloween stitchy wall, just a few more added, lol

Thanks for visiting and leaving comments I love to read, it truly gives me inspiration

Happy Day!! Happy Stitch!!

Something Wicked...

Finished and framed all in the same day

By La-D-Da

Stitched on 35ct Havanna with NPS except I changed out the 975, because it didn't show up very well on the linen. I wanted something colorful so I stitched the words with DMC 550. I found the frame at Michaels, it had a mat for 3- 2x3 photo's

Back to Halloween stitching

Happy Stitching!!

Celebrations of Needleworks St Charles

Hello!
Last weekend was way too much fun in St Charles

We met Karen of Rosewood Manor designs

Then there was Stacy Nash

We went to historical downtown for some shopping, found Stitches Ect.

There was some really neat stores, I found these metal signs for my Halloween wall

Ok, ok I'll now show what all I bought at the show

Karen and Stacy even signed my charts I bought from them, very cool

I bought a Dublin light also, love the magnifier, that will come in handy, I'm sure

It's a stand oblivious, plus a table stand and also comes with a clip, awesome!

On the way home we found Mom and Me Forever shop, love all the linen she had in stock,it was a very nice store and owner, can't remember what town it was in, but it was in Illinois

That is Lois and Anna from Madison, Wisconsin and then me, boy! did we have lots of laughs all the time spent in the car
All in all it was a fabulous 3 day excursion and would do it again

Thanks for visiting
Ill be back soon with a spooky finish

Halloween Rules

Good evening!!
The sun starts to go down and the air gets cool
I finished it as #2
I can always change it.
I couldn't change the fabric, because I already had it all sewed up with the orange polka dots
So here goes

Not sure if I even did the back right, but here goes

Notice I added little crosses that I found the other day
I think these will go on all my Halloween finishes this year
I also found some small skeleton keys that I may use too
The crosses are on each side of Rules

Stitched on 30ct Carrot with DMC,WDW and GAST threads
I started this back in April of 2011, over a year ago
Can you say "Happy Dance"
Thanks for all the feedback

Need your opinion, please!!!

I finished LK Halloween Rules,
But I am undecided how I should finish it on the bell pull
Which looks better?

#1

Or #2

I think #1 the fabric takes away from the tombs

Then I think #2 Looks too blah

Let me know what you think and hurry up, lol I'm dying to hang it up,

Please and Thank You

Stash and WIP's

Happy Sunday night!!!

I drove all the way to La Crosse, Wisconsin yesterday (3-1/2 drive) only to drive back home today.
Dan has a fishing tournament this coming weekend, I planned on going out in the boat all day with him today, only to find out last night that he could only pre-fish today by himself. geez! I wasn't going to fish, just sit and stitch or read. Good thing I did go for a ride in the boat late afternoon yesterday, after doing some shopping, would you like to see what I bought? Okay dokey

First up I visited Crosse Stitchery in downtown

Wicked Witch w/ 30ct cappuccino from WDW ( I didn't think that is right, but maybe for weeks it is) I'm not going with the called for Havanna, just because I'm stitching Something Wicked with that linen, The Boys Are back In Town freebie, but you had to buy the buttons, can't wait to start it. The other ones were clearance, yay! Love a good buy

Then it was on to the antique mall

A spool, old skeleton keys, and a grimey old oil can, that will make a awesome Halloween piece. I found the wool at a craft mall, couldn't pass up the bundle.

Here is a WIP...

Never Let You Go sampler, getting there slowly, very slowly

I started Christmas Garden a couple weeks ago, love it

Anna my friend from Madison RAK'd with a sampler I've been looking for a long time. We were shopping at Lynn's of Madison, I seen it and forgot to buy it.
The next time she came down she gave it to me, how sweet is that?!
I'm starting it tonight, right after I post this post

I bought 40ct Maritime, it calls for 40ct cream Newcastle. I'm going to use the called for DMC.

There are so many stitchy things calling my name, I better go get a jump on things

Goodnight!!
