Good Afternoon Ladies, I have to tell you about the store I visited on Saturday. It was way too cool. My dh had a job in Cyrstal Lake in by Chicago. This store Welcome Stitchery had so much cramed in a store it was just bursting :). They had mega ready made frames, fabric, kits, charts and threads. I was in there 1 hr and that wasnt enough time.I wanted everything, but I did get a stash on fabric's, which i needed so bad. I dont even have the charts for a couple fabric's I bought. I loved the Stitch Every Day series which was packed with chart, fabric and buttons, woohoo. But the two I really loved, they were out of (figures) but this is a good thing, cuz in a couple of weeks I have a reason to go back. I did buy the Bee True . I wanted the April Fools and Flip Flop Summer. They have such fun fabric colors. I bought gingham material for a couple charts, two frames, I dont know misc stuff, heres a pic. it come out a little dark b/c I took it after I got home that late afternoon and the lighting was not too good. I had so much fun, I just love my LNS though (30 mins). Jill is so helpjul and nice. I will be visiting her b4 school gets out though. I wish I had a friend to enjoy all the excitement with me. I have made a little progress with Palomino, not enough to brag about, and have not even worked on L'Autumn. I do have June Berries (BBD) ready to stitch, maybe start tonite on it. I have been so busy just going through my recent buying sprees, figuring what I need and what I dont. I do like to buy somethings online shops b/c of the sale discounts, free shipping and no tax, every little bit helps to buy another chart, lol. The other day while it was raining, a rare Common? Flicker hit our big windows and knocked it out :( The other two flickers that were playing were trying to get it up and going. I finally went out there and scared them away, so they didnt attract a cat. We watched it for awhile keeping it safe, while it came to. After it got up I snapped a close up pic.It finally did fly away. It is a beautiful bird, looks kind of roughed up from the other birds and raining. We have them in our backyard by the river, they like to dig in the dirt for bugs and larve, just like the darn moles. Let me know if you read my posts, as to I can enjoy yours. Happy Stitching!!!!

Very cute picture of the little flicker. I get sparrows that hit my window on occation and I always feel so bad for them.

What fun stash. I have one in the stitch everyday series (at least I'm pretty sure it was in that series), it is a goofy dog one. With 2 dogs I just couldn't resist when that one came out. Although the flip flop one was tempting. I'm very lucky in that I only live about an hour away from my DSIL, who is also one of my best friends and a fellow stitcher. It is so much fun when we get together to go stashing, and we enable each other terribly. Looking forward to seeing an updated picture of Palomino, I'll bet you've gotten more done than you think you have.

Hi Ranae...ohhh, I really like your blog! Love the way you did the photobucket thing with your projects. Thanks for visiting mine. I know what you mean by having someone to share the joy of a great stash with....I guess that is why I blog and visit other blogs. No one where I live really cross stitches either. I'm gonna add you to my bloglines cause I definately want to visit you again. I have relatives in Chicago and Michigan also. Love it up there. By the way, do you mine if I steal your starbucks button? Haven't seen that one and my son works parttime for them!!! Lucky me! See ya soon!

Hi Ranae, I just found your blog and have enjoyed reading some of your posts. Very nice stash haul. And, I loved the picture of the flicker. I have been enjoying watching a pair of mourning doves build a nest right outside our front window.

Lucky You! I know you had a ball at that store. We have one just a couple of miles from my house, but I haven't visited it yet. I don't have any money right now for more stash and I know if I go over there, I will want to buy everything I see! lol The little bird is lucky that you were watching out for him. Take care!
