Ahhhh! Silks

Happy happy Tuesday

Yes you heard that right...silks

I ordered Belle Soie's for Tis the Season
I received them yesterday from Drema over at Needlecraft Corner, she had great prices on them. It's my first, now I'm not a silk virgin anymore. I have stitched with silk, but this is my first purchase. I think I'm going to love them, they are so soft.
I just can't afford the habit of doing it all time, so this is going to be a real treat for me

I will definitely start this evening, when all is quiet, besides the rain on the roof

I couldn't help myself to Finish this Halloween ornament. I had stitched it, then found it in my basket with the year, so thought I better put a little time into to finish finishing it

It's the Prairie Schooler little card I received when I ordered all the new ones at the same time.

That's it for now, I have to get chores done so I can settle in and stitch this evening, before work, yuck! I wish I got paid for stitching, lol
I'd reckon I'd be rich , lol

Happy stitching!!!

Cute little goblin!

You know, it is funny. I had the opportunity to knit for pay and I hated it. I hated working to a schedule and I constantly worried that they wouldn't like what I produced even though I knit well.

I think I'd better just keep stitching as a hobby. It's much more enjoyable that way. :-)

I've never stitched with silks ~ have to look into that.
Love your newest Halloween creations ~ like the Boo!!!
Hope you find time to stitch tonight.

As fast as you stitch you should hook up with a designer that needs their samples stitched!!!

I just got that very pattern/booklet and can't wait to stitch it. I haven't yet stitched with silks but like you, I wouldn't be able to do it all the time.

What a super cute finish! I know what you mean about silks. They are such a treat to stitch with if only they weren't so expensive. Can't wait to watch this one grow!

'Tis the Season is a beautiful project. On my to do list. What fabric are you using? They look beautiful with the BS. I love BS too - wish bed sheets were made out of it. Wouldnt that be heavenly?

The PS freebie finished up very cute! I haven't stitched it yet.

I love the Christmas piece you are going to start next. I've never worked with silk. Maybe someday I will have to try it. Also, the 'tis the season chart is one I need to add to my stash!

That is such a cute little PS finish! I agree with you about the silks. They can be very pricey especially if the design is large.

There is nothing quite like the feel of silk between your fingers as you stitch. Oh to be able to use it all the time.

I think the Belle's are about the softest when feeling all the different silks at Stitching Bits and Bobs...yes I touch all the silks on the walls there.

You will love the Belle Soie and soon be addicted. I love this design and have had it kitted up for a while however I misplaced my book so I can't start it till I find the book (sigh) - Love the darling ornament you finished up. Your Halloween collection is most impressive and I enjoyed seeing it all. Enjoy your new project - Mel

You sure picked a great one to get silks for. Can't wait to see it. I stitched it once, not in silks, as a gift and keep saying I'll do it again for me. Your Boo! is sweet, too.
