Mustard Seed Manor

Happy Hump Day!!

I'm happy it's already Wednesday, yay, when it feels like Tuesday
I do hope everyone had a fun and safe long Labor Day weekend
We went out for a Harley ride to Wisconsin, as always, for a couple days, but it was almost too hot for the bike. I did get to a couple needle shops, I didn't buy much. They seemed not to have any of the newer stuff.

I have a finish I want to share
Mustard Seed Manor Sewing Book by Stacy Nash Primitives
Stitched on 35ct 18th Century Rook W/Gentle Arts threads
Brown Check homespun, and wool

Let's try that again with no paw.

I'm not sure if I have a photo bomber or she's my stitchy protector, she's a sweetie, she always has to be involved.
There was lots of hand stitching on this piece with the front linen piece, the inside black wool, the pocket, the pincushion and the binding, but well worth it.

I received this in the mail last Saturday
Limited edition kit of Gobble Gobble by Brenda @ With Thy Needle & Thread
Unfortunately it's sold out
It's a very small piece, so I should have this done real soon

I received a call from Lynn's of Madison that my HRH Houses is ready to be picked up from framing.
I know I waited along time to frame it. The frame matches my HRH Villages.

Happy Stitching!!

The start is by The Scarlett House
Penny Pumpkin
Stitching on 36ct Lakeside Meadow Rue linen w/GA threads
I couldn't resist that white pumpkin
I have lots to do today, so I can enjoy my vacation week, yay!!
Happy Stitching!!!

Rotted, but not Forgotted

Happy Thursday!!

I have 2 finish finishes

The first up is my August ornament challenge with Anna
Not Forgotted by Plum Street Samplers
The fabric in the background is what I used for the backing
I found the patten in the JCS Halłoween 2012 issue, but don't look for it so fast, the charted design is not in the magazine, by mistake. I believe I had to get the pattern from her website. I printed it out and put it in my magazine

Next....
I made a pillow filled with sawdust and lavender. This design is For Spacious Skies by Heartstring Samplery.

I'm itching to start stitching something new... maybe Penny Pumpkin
Tata, my lovely stitching peeps, until next time

WIPing Wednesday

Happy Wednesday evening!

Here's a few WIP's, I've been stitching on
A little here, a little there

Mourning Tree Sewing Bag by Stacy Nash

The Book of Spells by The Goode Huswife

Heartland Sampler by The Scarlett House
As you can see I'm all over the map on this one

The Red Deer Sampler  by Gigi R

I finished stitching this one..
For Spacious Skies by Heartstring Samplings
Did you notice I stitched the verse in dungarees instead of schneckley? I didn't think I would have enough to finish the verse after stitching the house, I had very little left over from another design.
I'm finishing it into a pillow, maybe with sawdust, maybe with lavender.
 Decisions! Decisions!

Tata! for now

Spot the Horse

Happy Tuesday,

I'm so in love with Spot the Horse finished into a pouch

Here's my dear granddaughter modeling the pouch for me
She loves it too and keeps asking if she can take it home, I will one of these days
The backing is like a silk fabric, cut from vintage old scarf found at a second hand store
And here's a better up close view

This is the inside...
The design is by Carriage House Samplings. It's a partial design and I also changed out the sun color to accomdiate the fabric. I want to give Marly over at samplers-and-santas.blogspot credit for the inspiration to a pouch idea.

And hot off the hoops is Mustard Seed Manor Sewing Pouch
By Stacy Nash Primitives.  I have to find the black wool and golden brown wool to get it finished.
Here's a snap of the inside of the book, and  the fabric that come with the chart

I'm on vacation for 11 days, what to do, haha, maybe more finishing??!!

Have a happy and safe Independance Day

By Barbara Ana, stitched on 40ct vintage light exampler linen W/ gentle art threads

The picture looks blurry, but blogger is the only way I can post with a photo
