I have been stitching all weekend and here are the results...
Yay! or Nay!
Most said "yay" so I went with it
This is the Friday night SAL
""Earth Sampler" by The Primitive Needle
I decided to go with a freebie by The Primitive Needle
"By The Light Of The Moon"
stitched on 35 ct from a grab bag from HDF
What is this????
It's some kind of spider. I thought it was carrying a bug, but it doesn't appear to be. It's attached to it. I live in the woods by a river, so we see lots of things, but I have never seen anything like this before. Could it possibly be an egg sack? If you know please inform me.
I wish for my Halloween issue of Just Cross Stitch in the mail tomorrow
I love to read all your comments and the e-mails you send me, Thanks!!

Awesome stitching! I really, really like the blue...I think it's turning out great!
Holy cow...that is one fantastically creepy spider! I'm sure he is just shaped like that, I've seen pictures of other odd-shaped spiders. Better to look scary than be eaten by a bird, right?
Whatever that spider is I say eeeewwwwwwww! Your LHN from TGoS looks fantastic! I love that blue!
Great wips! Love that blue fabric. OK, that spider is scary looking and I'd usually google since I'm a curious sort but I hate spiders! I hope someone has an answer for you.
What a lovely collection of stitching coming along. The blue fabric looks great.
Thats a creepy spider you have there. - Sandra.
You really got a lot of stitching done!
I don't know what is going on with that spider, but it sure is gross!!
I'm hoping for my Halloween JCS soon, too :)
I LOVE your Bent Creek in the previous post...love the roll...and O--M----GGGGG! That spider!!!! AHHHHH! I'm standing up on my chair and it's only on the computer...what are you trying to do woman? Cause me to fall over? I do NOT like those things. That is one thing that will make THIS little black belt run in fear! LOL..by the way contact me at xstitchquintmom@msn.com :)
Amazing spider! Looks like an egg sack, although I've never seen anything like it.
I'm liking your WIP. Keep it up!
Nice work, Ranae. I really like the Earth Sampler, and as for the spider or whatever it is, at first I thought you'd created some sort of 3-D stitch! LOL
Okay I love the fabric you picked out for the 1st design. and I cant wait to see the freebie one stitced up.
I have no idea what that "thing" is LOL I am goignt o have a closer look.
Take Care
I think it's really good that you continued stitching your LHN on the blue fabric. It looks really nice.
Very nice progress on your WIPs.
Those look like such fun to stitch. The blue really does look good.
I can see why you are impatient to get your Halloween JCS issue. Creepy crawlies already haunting you!
LOOK at all these delightful WIPS...you just seen to easy, breezy, fly through everything :)
I've never seen a spider like that in my life....UGH!
I too wish for my Halloween JCS...
Gosh you have been busy Ranae! Everything is looking great (except that nasty spider...to me, it looks like a miniature cat! Does anyone else see that? Really creepy!).
Love your stitching. The blue is spot on. That spider is just gross. YUCK!!!
Oh your stitching is so beautiful. Everything looks incredible. I have all of them on my Want to Have to do list. Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog too. That spider, pretty scary looking. Be careful.
Eeeeeewwwww. Gruesome spider. They just give me the creeps and living where I do I see a lot of these nasty things. Don't know what it's carrying, but it could be an egg sac. EEEEEWWWW
Wonderful stitching. I think that Star of Mine looks great on that fabric and your Earth Sampler is wonderful too. I'd like to stitch that at some point. And love the Primitive Needle start. I don't think I've seen the pattern for that one. Don't you just love new starts?
I concur with everyone else - YUCKYUCKYUCK! I do not like spiders or bugs of any sort.
What I do like are all your wonderful stitching projects. I can't wait to see more progress on Starr of Mine!
I don't know what that is Ranae but it is totally gross!
Your stitching, on the other hand, is fabulous as usual. You made some great progress this weekend.
Ew! I'm not sure I wanna know what that is.
I say YAY to all of your projects. You'll have to decide about the blue, though, because it's impossible to tell on the computer.
Nice job on your stitching! I don't know what the spidey thing is.
Great updates on all your work in progress.
Your progress is great I wish I had more time lately for stitching. The spider or whatever it is looks like the white part is a huge face. AH! i am petrified of any kind of spider, and one that big would have caused me to have a heart attack!

Your wips are looking great, I too love the blue fabric. Your finishes in the previous post are gorgeous. Your spider, I have no idea what it is but is sure looks creepy.
Beautiful stitching! I love all of your WIPs. It looks like you're done or very nearly there on Earth Sampler--love it!
The spider--holy shamoley. YUCK.
I'mso behind on blog reading, life gets in the way sometimes.
So pleased your wonderful project came home from the framers, its gorgeous. Lovely pillow and Isda Mae too.
Super WIP pics
Happy Stitching. x
Okay...I love spiders...what can I say.. that pic is awesome. I'm thinking an egg sack!
I googled your state and spider identification and found this:
http://www.museum.state.il.us/ismdepts/zoology/spiders/gallery.html?RollID=roll01&FrameID=gracilis
What do you think? Is that it?
Check out these pictures (they're not for the faint of heart!)

Okay, moving on! I think I'll stick with my brown recluse spiders!
Starr of Mine is beautiful, lovely fabric.
I started that same freebie, but didn't like the fabric. I'll start it again some day.
Please let me know if you think that is your spider!
Your stitching looks great :o) In those last 2 pics, it almost looks like that spider has a tiny kitten. Could you imagine the size of a spider that could actually wrap up a kitten??
Stitching is looking great! That fabric looks completely different in this picture.
Okay, that is just FREAKING me out!!!! I have never seen a spider like that, even on any of the nature shows that I've watched. Ewwwww!
